great deal op,

mc highlights that it is a ROTATION. Not sure if i would bother to have the tires rotated, without being balanced.

even without that service this is a good deal.

thanks op

Great deal OP

Only bad thing is they dont use full synthetic oil and not willing to accept customers oil at all.

Great deal! Thanks OP, green for you.

Places that recommend balance recommed for ever 5k miles but do recommend you rotate every oil change (3k miles)

I read some terrible stories on line. Please be careful if the service guys try to convince you repairing some "bad" components.

i was looking through the forums at SD and it seems that they try to "sell" you stuff and say certain things are wrong with your car, but they aren't

just watch out. I am still going and getting the oil change and tire rotation....anything else I will just tell them I already have a mechanic.

=P

To be honest, just about every low cost oil change place has tried to sell me something that they said was wrong with my car. Unfortunately, it's just the way these businesses work to get customers in the door.

Nice find, but just a reminder, since it is firestone, you better watch out. Google it if you want to know more.

nice deal. you can tell them up front you dont want anything else done but what you're asking, that usually works at jiffy lube.

worst advice ever

to get the maximum mileage life from your tires, it is recommended they be rotated every 5,000 miles. Balancing/alignment are only done when needed and not related to getting a simple rotation. If your tires are wearing properly switching from front to back shouldn't cause a problem. Rotation helps with even wear so you get 40,000 miles from a 40,000 mile tire.

If you notice a difference after rotating, it can be because you have another issue with poor wear from under inflation, shocks, etc. You should have your air pressure checked and adjusted as part of the rotation. DO NOT TAKE FOR GRANTED THIS WAS DONE! Make sure to tell them to take the tire pressure/adjust at the conclusion of the rotation since front/rear air pressure recommendations might be different from front to rear! Even if not, good idea to have the right pressure as part of the servicing of your car.

I do tire rotation and balance every 6,000 miles.

My original tires still good and looks brand new even though I used it for almost 70K miles and mechanic said it's good for another 30K.

Also, I maintain tire pressure 35psi.

I would not bother to have the tires rotated without being balanced.

I would have the tires rebalanced every 5k also. If you purchase tires at a place that offers lifetime rebalance/rotation, you are in great shape.
MC states that places are not good with putting the correct air in tires, and he is right. Many tire guys believe that the proper inflation is right on the tire, (the max psi) The car manufacture knows the correct pressure, and as MC states it can vary front to back (especially on mini vans)

I am not wanting to discount the value of a rotation, or TC op's post, only to encourage that through proper care of a tire you can meet or exceed the mileage estimates that are placed on tires. IMHO if the tire is coming off, you should have it's balance checked too.

Just took the stock Michelins off my 06 accord with 100k on them. Balanced every 5k Allignment every 20k

Used to have a volkswagen, was told to change the oil every 2.5k and the filter every 7.5k right or wrong i would change the filter more frequently too.

Thanks OP.

Used mine at the local Midas. They take competitors coupons and told me they lost money by using the synthetic.

Great deal
