Special Limited Time Offer from Bill Me Later!
Enter promo code BMLSAVES at checkout to get $10 off your $50 Amazon.com purchase when you pay using Bill Me Later.

Although doesn't work for me at the moment. I will be calling customer service to see what the problem is.

Worked after trying it a second time. Make sure you choose BML as payment method, then enter promo code on the next screen.

For everyone's info: They do a hard pull when you first apply. From then on, like any credit company, they can review your credit file as needed.

Hard Pull = NOT HOT

Not a hard pull if you already have a Bill Me Later account.

just took advantage of this program, i had a short hiccup as well. maybe it's not your issue OP, but here it is:

i selected bill me later as method of payment, but didn't add the coupon yet. when i added at the same time as choosing bill me later, it said invalid. try selecting bill me later, then putting the coupon in on the final confirmation page and applying it then. the $10 came right off for me.

Be advised, this looks like it will result in a hard pull. Not worth $10 for me.

Is it only for new bml accounts, or existing as well? Used them once years ago. Never bothered anymore after I found you couldn't make payment online. Wonder if that has changed?

ps, Just checked. They do now take online payment.

Need to start studying up a good Amazon deal(s).

This is the equivalent of opening a credit card for a $10 off coupon. I know some people have opened lines of credit for less -- a 2-liter of coke or a T-shirt -- but here at FW we at least expect a GPS, camera, or a $100 cash. Keep that in mind when taking advantage of this "deal".

i already had a billmelater account from years ago, it figured it out so hopefully i didn't get any credit run. also i didn't give them my whole social security number, not sure if that indicates that it isn't a hard pull or not.

If you already have an account, naturally, they already have your entire SS#.

For everyone's info: They do a hard pull when you first apply. From then on, like any credit company, they can review your credit file as needed.

"...Credit Limits and Credit Review

Do I have a credit line and how much is it?
Bill Me Later does not issue a credit line. To enhance your convenience, security and buying power, Bill Me Later approves and extends credit for each transaction.

What does "Subject to Credit Approval" mean?
Bill Me Later will review your credit report prior to opening your account. You must provide us permission to review your credit report when completing your request to become a Bill Me Later customer. Bill Me Later is a credit account that you can use to make purchases. Bill Me Later will review the current status of your account each time you make a purchase but your full credit report is not reviewed for every Bill Me Later purchase.

Does Bill Me Later review my credit bureau report every time I make a purchase?
Bill Me Later does not review your credit report for each transaction. However, your credit report may be reviewed periodically to provide you with the maximum buying power possible.

I have a Bill Me Later account. Why was I declined for a purchase I attempted to make using Bill Me Later?
Your purchase may be declined for many reasons. The following are the most common reasons a purchase is declined:

Your account is past due.
You are attempting to make a purchase larger than the amount of credit we can extend to you at this time. We do re-evaluate this regularly. As you establish a good payment record with Bill Me Later, you will have greater chances of being approved for each purchase you attempt.
A technical error on the merchant site..."

At first this method did not work for me - just tried it again and was successful. thanks

You know. I have done MANY offers like this where there is a soft or hard pull of my credit report. NEVER have I lost a single point on my credit score, ever and I have checked inquiries too. My score is over 780. No offense, but I truly feel concern about "hard pulls" is overblown.

With BML option - can you still pay with CC?

Bml is sort of like a credit card. When you check out using bml, you have paid Amazon(or whomever). You now owe BML, which is CIT bank. They will send you a statement, just like a credit card statement. You can mail the payment, or pay online with your checking account, etc. Can you pay CIT with a credit card? Not sure about that.

ps: Just checked their FAQ. Can not pay with CC.

Info about Hard/Soft pulls: LINK

The result? My new rule is to try to never settle for less than $100 for each hard pull

I have a BML account and needed to order a textbook for my daughter. Great coupon for me. However, there was a glitch in using the coupon. I could not apply it until the very last page of the order.

Thanks Mlf50. I am in for three sale items that come to $51 before the 10 discount, free shipping and no sales taxes. Total retail $84 with Maine sales tax, total output $41, 3 minutes time and NO GASOLINE to drive to the nearest store 25 miles away! Easy. Thanks!

This is a revolving credit account with 19.99% APR. From other forums, if you need to cancel it's a NIGHTMARE to try to get your money back without being billed. From other forums and compaint boards, this is something to stick away from unless you cannot get credit anywhere else.

For $10 dollars discount you will get a hard pull from a subprime Utah lending company.

This a hot deal in the sense that you will get BURNED...
