This will NOT work for the 3G iPhone even though it says it does. I've bought a few 3rd party home chargers and car chargers for my 3G iphone and the phone says "this accessory cannot charge the iphone". Do not purchase if you have 3G! |
That's about about $8.00 with shipping vs. $4.50 after 50%off at Meritline (minus 1% FatCash) Car charger (1000mA) for Apple iPhone, Free Standard Shipping! |

With this battery life I guess I'm gonna just have to go get one at the att store for $25 |

The 3G iPhone officially removed firewire support, which most accessory manufacturers still used for power (as its easier and cheaper since the car is already providing the 12v line that firewire used - rather than stepping the 12v line down to 5v for USB). Progress for Apple means annoyance for all of us, even my car's built in iPod hookup will no longer charge the 3G iPhone. |
