UPDATE: Well, they moved my office. But I kept my Swingline.
Thanks to all who participated. We saw a great response and actually kept the t-shirt promo running for an extra 150 shirts. Didn't find just the right deal in time? Don't fret! With the increase in hot deals and those other guys' weak imitation - the sincerest form of flattery, by the way - we're working on another post a deal & get a t-shirt promo to run any day, hour, minute...?
Get a Free FatWallet T-Shirt & Help Me Find My Red Swingline Stapler
Um, hello, FatWallet community members. Have you seen my stapler? I can’t find it or my desktop under all of these T-shirt bins. I’ve been informed that until I unload some of the T-shirt inventory that I so generously ordered for you, the community, my office will be considered T-shirt Storage Room B.
Here’s how you can help:
The first 1000 members to post a Hot Deal (see eligibility) receive one free FatWallet T-shirt each. When you post a Hot Deal, I get to walk one of these sweet Ts out of my office to shipping and receiving (better known as Debbie) where it will be whisked away via USPS to you, our valued member.
To Get Your Free T 1.Post your Hot Deal
– If after 24 hours, your smokin' deal is rated positive (above 0) by the FatWallet community –
2.You will receive PM and/or email notification of your deal’s eligibility, linking you to the page where you claim your prize (give us your address)
3.You should receive your kick butt T-shirt within 10 days of submitting your shipping information. One T-shirt per member
Challenge! Members who post a Hot Deal from a FatWallet Cash Back merchant will receive the exclusive, previously unreleased "I am the Revolution" FatWallet T-shirt (while supplies last 'cuz these shirts rule)!
Eligibility · Deal must have a positive rating 24 hours after being submitted
· The usual Hot Deal criteria (Hot Deals FAQ : No reposts, no spam, compare your price, forum guidelines…) apply
· Only Deals from a FatWallet Cash Back merchant qualify for the "I am the revolution" FatWallet T-shirt
· Limit one T-shirt per FatWallet.com member per promotion
· Eligible deals posted after 7/22/08 12:00 a.m., CST
· While supplies last
So, what deal did FW take advantage of to get these T-shirts? Amazon close out? Rebates? Slight close-out from HamSkillet.com? Old New-egg t-shirts from buying motherboards?

Wondering about that myself.
Our time stamp didn't update upon launch (at 12:00 a.m., CST, 7/22/08). Deals posted after 12:00 a.m., CST, 7/22/08 are eligible for the offer. Thanks for catching the time stamp bug. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
Yay, great to know my posts may be eligible. Or is it? O.o I noticed the timestamp too, but expected many replies on this thread. Saw replies only posted minutes ago so I had a good feeling we're still eligible Thanks for clearing that up pickles

Hi LornaRenee! footn started an excellent resource in the Welcome forum with his Deal Hunting 101 Topic. You'll find valuable tips in there from seasoned deal hunters. FatWallet members know their 'stuff'!

And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the Staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...

This offer applies to Hot Deals... this time. If it's a Hot Deal for grocery products with a positive rating, yes, t-shirt worthy. If it's a Grocery Coupons topic, no t-shirt. We are really excited to have Grocery Coupons back, though, and look forward to creating fun ideas for that area as well.
This really is a free for all for crappy deals. Somebody can post that Staples have a stapler on sale for 10 cents less than retail, get his buddy to vote him green. There's going to be tons of deals that nobody cares about flooding the board, and burying some potentially great deals in the process.
As a newbie, I am still learning the rules and regs. So I wonder, outside posting something that make be against the r&r's, can one buy one of these shirts? Thanks..
edit. Nevermind. I was more confused than I knew. The 12:00 am/pm thing gets me every time. Midnight, not noon.

I just posted a Hot Deal for K-Cups or PODS and Fatwallet moved it to a Grocery coupon. It is no more a Grocery coupon than the Senseo Hot Deal Items. Can it please be moved back so I can get a T-Shirt? I did say "please" after all.
