If you missed out on this last time, here it is again. Not quite the $1599 that is was, but at $1699 it's still a steal!
Fry's has the Samsung LN52A550 for $1699 with FREE GROUND SHIPPING. Possible B&M, but not positive. Maybe someone can confirm?
I just purchased the LN46A550 and the picture is absolutely amazing. This is the same set, but in the 52" model. The sound isn't the best, but if you are going to hook it up to a surround system, don't let this deal by!
If you have a Fry's in your state, then you will have to pay tax. So, if this is the case, I would suggest ordering from Amazon as they have it for $1760 with Free Shipping and most states have no tax!

Set it up then run a slideshow of all her photos continuously for a few days.
I had ordered the last time and the fools had OOS'd it soon thereafter. Keep in mind their PIP is misleading. It is not a button on the remote, and it is supposed to work only for analog sources. I have still not got mine to work.
I am not sure which one should I buy, samsung ln 46a550 or ln 46a650.. I lean more towards 46a550 unless someone gives me a strong enough reason to upgrade to 650.. does any one know the current best price ( no shipping, no tax) for ln 46a550.. Amazon has it for ~1500, Vanns too is selling for the same price..

Except Sharp doesn't work with PC inputs properly... something that all the Samsung models seem to handle fine. Sharp only handles 640x480 to 1280x1024 or something strange like that ... won't accept 1920x1080 (full resolution), for example.

Get the 550 if you have alot of light in your room. The screen on the 650 is glossy.
Do people think TVs will come down even more with the economy? Is it worth waiting? Personally I would not buy a tv that is not 120hz right now, so I am thinking LN46A650 - but I would like a little bigger for the future - but immediately its for a small room. I don't have loads of extra money (read 0 - this is really the result of selling other things I have on fleabay). Both are about the same price... how good is the 52"? Again do you guys think prices will come down a lot toward Christmas/Football Season?

manufacturing costs have risen a lot this year with rising petroleum costs since it takes petroleum to make plastics. I would not expect nearly as drastic a reduction in price on models at the end of a model year anymore. I personally don't see the point of buying a 52" A550 over a 46" 120hz with better picture quality and networking anyway. If I had the choice I'd choose the better picture quality and features, sit 6 inches closer, and enjoy the lower power bills due to the smaller screen.

Well LCD TV prices will keep coming down for very long time, when I bought my Samsung 46" LCD in Feb this year before Superbowl, I thought that was very good time, now Samsung has better model of 46" LCD for $300 less just in 4 months.
I just got this TV for $1567 out the door (free shipping, free insurance, no tax since I am in California).
Just find it on eBay for about $1800 brand new and use the $250 Cash Back offer Microsoft Live is offering, make sure you use Internet Explorer, I couldn't get the Cash Back links to show up using FireFox (evil MS!).
I saw a demo of 120Hz at BestBuy, I dont see why anyone would pay more for it, it didnt look significantly better. The 650 was perfect until they put that ugly red border on it and put a glossy screen on it.

MS Live Cash Back link works with Firefox. I have used it with Firefox 3.0.1 to get discount on some other products successfully.
