I am in the same boat. I have restoed my HP dv5000 laptop 3 times in last 2 months.
It keeps coming back. I suspect that it is residing in the recovery parition D:
also it is smarter than microSoft as it deletes all the RESTORE points.
Microsoft SUX. they should somehow safeguard against that atleast.

Please anyone has any success with this VUNDO please share.

Disable your system restore and run the scans in safe mode... then reboot.

it doesnt seem to like 'registry easy'
anyone else have this on their system?
(there was once a post about a free copy of it here)

I have Registry Easy too...running my scan now and I see it is picking stuff up...what did you do??

I would try disabling system restore, boot into safe mode, delete temp files using atf, run vundofix, reboot in normal mode, install superantispyware and update def., reboot in safe mode, run full scan w/ superantispyware. try hijackthis also.

It's best to try tech support sites instead of here to get more detailed help instructions.

This above post pretty much says it all. Well, at least most all. It took me almost 2-weeks to get rid of Vundo! And, I am proud!
A local respected computer store (not BB) (not even close to BB) asked a friend what I used to remove Vundo after my friend returned the computer after the 5th service attempt! You will succeed using a tech site. Good luck!

Vundo is no joke. It took me several days to completely remove it from my cousin's system. I got help from going to www.techtv.com. They have a great tech help support board with experienced IT people. I had to download several removal tools and follow the steps accordingly. It was a NIGHTMARE.

Did you click 'convert coupon code' from the software, and then enter the code given in the OP? My software listed a 30-day trial before the code and a 'full license' after.

I am amazed that it took almost a full day for someone to finally say this.

Always, always, ALWAYS do these things in safe mode with System Restore disabled.
If you boot normally, many processes can not be accessed and the offending files can not be removed.
The guys who write this malware obviously do not intend it to be easy to remove.

Sweet! Thanks OP!

re vundo: find an exe called virtumundobegone.exe

reboot in safe mode and run it. it crashes your computer and gets rid of vundo!

This program is not bad. It found 7 objects( actually six of them are cookies and one is a low risk process)when Kaspersky didn't find them. Easy to use and looks nice. I like Lavasoft more but it is free, what makes it hard to argue.
