IMO the best you can get is now low-discharge batteries such as the Sanyo Eneloop, Rayovac Hyrbid, etc. ![]()
That is a great price for high cap batteries. I could use them as a backup pair for my camera flash.

Agreed. I have Eneloops and they are awesome. I use them in an Olympus FL-50 flash unit and they last a long time, even if they sit in there a while between uses. Love 'em.
I also prefer Eneloops. Price is around 4 AAs for $10 at Amazon.com.
As to why they eneloops are better for someone looking at the 2500 mah vs 2000 or 1800 mah, it's in the self discharge numbers. After a month or even a couple of weeks of sitting, the eneloop/hybrid/precharged NiMH - all similar - are at similar or better residual mah numbers when compared with the usual self-discharging NiMH sorts.

IMHO these would be good for a primary pair. You're better off getting Eneloops/Duracell hybrids for a backup pair.
Hello
Are these compatible with the BC-CS2A Sony charger??
If anyone has one of this kind, can you confirm the batteries that are to be used on this charger?
Appreciate the help
Thanks
