Well worth the money! I just beat this game yesterday and I honestly think its one of the best games I've ever played. Keep in mind that most reviewers that didn't like the game hated the single player mode, but playing with someone else is an awesome experience. Don't pay attention to the review on Gamespot at all. Apparently someone there decided they were a political opinion site rather than a game reviewing website. You can see that users gave it a significantly better review. I really hope they come out with a second one of these games.

I can attest that playing this game without a friend / buddy / random person from the interent is a *terrible* experience - one that I would not wish on anyone.
one of the best 2 player first person shooters made
PLAYING BY SELF: Single player campaign: kinda sucks Multiplayer: Fun, luck of the draw with your team-mate
PLAYING WITH BUDDY (on a big hi-def display) Multiplayer campaign: One of the best 2 player first person shooters I've played Multiplayer online: Friggin AWESOME!!
pretty much agreed with all. I still find the single player fun, but it doesn't hold a candle to doing Co-Op multiplayer with a friend in the room. I mean, that was the whole reason behind the game, and why its called Army of TWO!
But yes, if you enjoy having some fun with a friend and doing a lil Co-op, this is probably one of the best games out there. Easily in the top 3 of co-op games.

Yea, I guess that's true. I probably played it for about 4 full evenings before beating it on "contractor" mode which is the middle difficulty level. I'm not sure how hard professional (expert) level is, but I'll let you guys know how long it takes me when I beat it on that level. I say if it takes me another week to play it on that level then that's probably about two good weeks of rental time.

oh dang that sucks.
The outer edge of the disc is damaged where you can actually feel it lift up. I think it simply won't lay flat in the tray so it cannot read properly. I'm not sure if there is data stored on that section or not. It is on the very edge. i was wondering if there was something i could do about it to sort of band aid the situation.

I can't think of anything specific for you, but these kinds of situations make a very strong case for video game console modding and allowing the use of backup discs on a system when one legitimately purchased the game.
