we're talking 1260 or possibly 1140 after rebate with a Sears card for a current model 46" 1080p LCD from a retail store and I got no love ?

With a Sears card and Fat cash, I calculate about $1083 plus tax on the 1259, which would be about $100 here in Atlanta.

Beats the Frys.com deal a few weeks back that was 1100 for the -350 model, which I assume is an older, or lower model.

Good deal. Toshiba doesn't seem to raise too much excitement here at FW. I don't either, but I sometimes end up buying Toshiba stuff because their prices are more reasonable than Sony, Sharp, Samsung. Pretty satisfied with my 4 year old Toshiba laptop and my over 4 year old Toshiba/TiVo which recently died. Probably just a power supply, but since I have 3 other TiVo units, I don't think I'll bother to fix it(since I only paid about $50ar for it).

That was

1) online, not something you can pickup tomorrow and return to a B&M (or at least not for the 70% of the country without a nearby Fry's
2) last year's model
3) basically clearance and out of stock pretty quick
4) inferior in terms of contrast and picture quality from what I've seen in store
5) roughly the same price after rebate when you add in shipping versus the instore Sears tax

Or are you saying basically that if it's a 46" it can no longer be a good deal unless you think it is ? What price would this Tv have to be before you thought it was a hot deal? This ain't an Olevia or a Vizio.

Nice finding OP. Be aware that Toshiba has this Regza brand and non-regza difference. Rumor says that Toshiba doesn't make non-Regza brand by themselves. This 46RV530U is on the Regza line, thankfully. Unfortunately I don't need a TV this big. Damn I missed that Fry's Samsung LN32A450 deal.

sweet LCD, I just picked this up at Sears and so far so good. Not much adjustment needed in picture quality from the start. I hope this TV last me many many years.

I paid 1260 plus tax so it came out to about 1360 out the door. Not bad for 46" , 1080p and the Toshiba brand name. Beats getting a olevia, vizio, aoc, westinghouse cheapos at same price.

I just got this TV delivered from Costco on Friday. Reading on AVSForum, people don't have many issues with this TV, which is rare for LCDs. I used the settings posted by Gris and think the picture is GREAT. No complaints about my purchase.

Bump for a decent price on a good tv.
