That rebate is for $50.

amejr999 is correct - the rebate is for $50, not $70. But then again, it's any digital camera, so just buy a really cheap one.

Doesn't Epson reduce the rebate amount to the price paid? Still a good deal.

Yes they do. This is stated in the rebate. Also the title states "receive up to $50".

Still good as a free disposable printer. By the way, you can use the scanner and then send faxes online for free at faxzero.com.

Edit: Hey, didn't notice your FatWallet ID. Pun not intended

So bad for the environment , both from throwing it away and the energy used to produce it.

I noticed that Target.com says that there is a 15% restocking fee for digital cameras, and does not mention that it only applies if opened. If I were to buy this and then decide not to bother with the rebate and return everything, would they really charge me 15% on the camera? Is that the policy for store puchases as well? I understand that some digital cameras do not come sealed so I guess there is no way to find out if they are used or not but clearly the el cheapo cameras being bought for this are sealed in plastic.

Too bad the only cheap digicam at TGT was a $20 SAKAR "Speed Racer":

The box says "download pics directly to your PC", which I took to mean connects to PC USB port (cam is USB 1.1). My XP PC woould not see the camera, so had to install the supplied pic editing software just to retrieve and see the pics!

Camera specs: 640x480 = 300K pixels; no flash, no zoom, no view screen. Also, pics come out fuzzy -- probably should use a tripod for max sharpness (There is a tripod socket). Req 2x AAA batteries (not supplied). Also has some sort of video mode (not yet tested). NOTE: at max resolution ("HI" mode), you only get 24 pics, even tho the box it came in says "up to 152 pics").

This camera is a piece of crap -- but what did I expect for $20!
I guess with $50 MIR, it's not a bad deal at $10 out of pocket for a $40 printer. Note that the printer by itself is $40 at AMZN or WMT.

Grabbed one in Knoxville. The cheapest camera I could find was 19.99.

The kids wanted their own camera so it's a deal for us.

Not strictly true -- I did find ink here >>
Black, # T069120: $5.99, vs $23 for Genuine Epson: http://www.4Inkjets.com/Compatible,Epson,T069120,Black,Ink-Cartridge,1070,product.html?printer=3614

I did notice that my favorite, PrintPal, only stocked the genuine Epson carts.

To fill rebate form, I have to fill the serial number of digital camera. However, I cannot find the serial number on the $19.99 digital camera of Disney pix micro. Any idea?

I got in on an FAR Epson + digital camera through Buy.com, for the rebate form I just used the UPC number for the digital camera and the rebate went through. Epson rebates are easy and I've never had a problem.

The last time I did this I used the receipt number. You just want something unique.

They did not have any printers on the shelf at the Target I visited, but I took the shelf tag and scanned it and it said they had in the stockroom, so I found an employee and asked him to get one for me, which he did.
