Anyone know the warranty on this? OEM drives are normally warrantied by the OEM company. Say like Dell purchases 10,000 drives. They are supposed to put them in computers and sell the computers, and then if you buy that computer and the HD dies you get a replacement from Dell. WD doesn't warranty the drive. Odd thing about the description is that it says: "It's value priced and comes with a manufacturer's limited warranty to further protect your investment." How long is that limited warranty? Perhaps only 90 days? |

WD does warrantee their OEM drives, as does Samsumg, Seagate, Hitachi, etc. I know because I only buy OEM drives and I have sent back the drive to several different manufacturers..... Please, before you create a worthless post, at least go read the product description!
