Isn't tax on 69.99 pretty close to 5$? Not to mention gas if you're not already there?

I believe he put that out for those of us who prefer immediate satisfaction, why wait if you don't have to?

Anyone know the warranty on this? OEM drives are normally warrantied by the OEM company. Say like Dell purchases 10,000 drives. They are supposed to put them in computers and sell the computers, and then if you buy that computer and the HD dies you get a replacement from Dell. WD doesn't warranty the drive. Odd thing about the description is that it says: "It's value priced and comes with a manufacturer's limited warranty to further protect your investment." How long is that limited warranty? Perhaps only 90 days?

What you are talking about are CPU's and not hard drives. Please know the difference before you say anything. Hard drives come with full manufacturer warrantee regardless if you buy the retail or the OEM.

WD does warrantee their OEM drives, as does Samsumg, Seagate, Hitachi, etc. I know because I only buy OEM drives and I have sent back the drive to several different manufacturers.....

Please, before you create a worthless post, at least go read the product description!

EDIT: They have booth the AAKS and AACS models on for 74.99 w/ free shipping. I picked up the AAKS for my server (since I already have 3 in it already and wanted the same drive) and an AACS model for my low powered AMD 780G system!

Hmm, think the 640mb better at $89 from what i read

Interesting. I bought an OEM drive and WD claims it has no warranty at all through them- only the OEM. It's a 1tb WD100EAVS (yes, not 'CS').
