Just picked up an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 (retail) from Newegg for $209.99! In addition they throw in World in Conflict "valued" at $39.99 and a trial version valued at $9.99.

Oh yes, just to make this a really nice deal, all came with free 3 day shipping!

While I would jump on this for a new main computer setup, I've rather get the quad cores for more multitasking.

More price drops on the way since all these (Newegg, Amazon, Mwave, Buy.com) are now actually OVERPRICED since over the weekend "the 3.16-GHz E8500 Intel Core 2 Duo has dropped a whopping 31%, from $266 to $183."
