Serious question: what in particular makes this a hot deal? Does the monitor compare to more pricey ones ? Can you elaborate. Been in the market for a while... Oh, can it be wall mounted ?

IMO, all of these low priced panels seem to be about the same in terms of image quality, so the difference comes down to price, features and warranty.

Both have VGA input, both have three year warranties.

The Hanns-G has HDMI and no rebate.

The Acer has DVI an a $60 rebate.

Thanks OP. Got this one instead of the Acer because it has built in speakers. I really just need basic sound, so this frees up the need for tiny speakers cluttering up my desk.
