Compaq Presario C770US also at Staple s in today's weekly circular
SKU 750553

Wonderful. Looking for a laptop. Are there any $ off coupons floating around?
Also i didn't see a free printer offer with this deal.

Yes. Look in the AD. There is a "free" after rebate printer and Wireless G router with any laptop purchase.

Look in AD >>> sorry which AD? I couldn't find free printer with laptop on their weekly ad either?

I am wondering if there is a way to get Discover 5% and the 7% off purchase above $199 purchase available on coupons page.
Appreciate your help. Also wonder if there are any PM prospects on this.

Looks like a decent deal to me so trying to get all the info before pull the trigger.

And another $50 off if you have access to the $50 off of $500 coupons. Cost is $11.50.

Can somebody please pitch in to see if this printer rebate would apply if i buy above laptop from Circuit City online?
Rebate excludes best buy but no mention about Circuit City.

Any idea where i can search for this coupon. I am fine with $11.50 but couldn't find on eBay.

The Staples deal is better due to less rebates.

CC gives more rewards points/cash

Look closer its clearly displayed in this weeks AD in th laptop section. Sorry I cant hold your hand and tell you what page it is on.

At any rate I picked up this laptop today as I had giftcards to burn. I did an online order for instore pickup and the CSR at the register said that the $150 is an instant rebate so I got the laptop for $479.99. There IS a $150 rebate actually so....

$479.99 - $150 CC rebate - $30 compaq rebate = $299.99

Look like they are selling them with an instant $150 rebate but there IS a valid $150 as well.

SMOKING HOT!!!!!

The rebate form also states:

Advertised rebate amount assumes payment of Circuit City's before-rebate advertised price. Circuit City reserves the right to reduce the fulfilled rebate amount based on price adjustments and/or price matches made on qualifying items.

Since you did not pay the before rebate price as advertised, you actually getting the rebate will be very slim...

Maybe, but the CC system still has the adjustment in it. CC looks up your order when they verify the rebate. That's when it will be denied.

What was the state location of the store. Is there a state law there requiring rebates to be given at the register rather than by mail.

Your rebate will be rejected! Last year I bought desktop from CC for less price (after rebate as IS) and my rebate got rejected becos it didn't match minimum price requirement. This is usual practice by CC. The rebate system vaidates through CC system. Good Luck!

If your receipt shows "regular" price = YMMV getting rebate.

Picked up a Staples ad from store, which clearly prints the model (C770US), the specs and $130 IS. A credit card PM on this should be fairly easy and would not affect the rebates at all.
Final price will be $300 + $50 tax, superb deal.

I have few questions appreciate if anyone of you can answer

What is the Staples SKU#?

If i buy using shopdiscover shouldn't i get the 5% discount?

Can you explain the Credit Card PM process.

The SKU is mentioned in the second post of this thread.

yes, i'm not sure how this works either.

I agree.

FYI, my local Staples store in Flushing, NY still has 7 in stock. At this price, I thought it would have sold out on the first day of the sale.

picked one of these up today...got them to accept my 8% AAA coupon bringing the grand total to right around 400...thanks OP

Just noticed that there is a $150 and a $100 Circuit City rebate both good if you buy today.
Any chance that both will go through?

I wonder how this works too.. I see now their online price is 499.99 after $130 rebate, one for $30 and one for $100. But I see 2 different rebates on ccityrebates, one for 150 and other for 100. Does these print out at register as 100/150 or 100/30? the former would make it a great deal..

Starting price of the item is higher today the 27th.
If a rebate is not printed when you buy it, they are available to print at home from CC's website.

One starts today and the other ends today the 27th.

Edit: Actually just checked and they changed the printable rebate to now read the 26th. However, the online rebate is the 27th.

Site now says:

You pay:

$629.99
Mail-in rebate(s):

-$200.00

Rebate Details
Price after
rebate:

$429.99

There is another hidden rebate ending today for $100, rebate id PCKFZ making the final price $330 after all rebates.

This, I believe is the link to finding that form: Link to find form

Then in group 3 enter: PCKFZ

I would doubt that all rebates would be honored, but let's start discussing.
