Horrible service. I used their service when sunrocket went down, and disconnect it a month later as they went down so many time during that month also their billing was terrible to, they keep billing me 2 months later infact my service was off. i called them both times to refund my charges, and then finally I cancel that credit card.

The representative I was talking to said they had some trouble starting up but reviews have gotten a lot better in the last few months, anyone else have service now that can verify that?

I had them until a few weeks ago when I switched to T-Mobile@Home. The quality of connection has greatly improved. Customer service has improved since the dismal Sunrocket transition and the porting went much easier this time then the last time, when people were still reaching my"phantom" number for six months until one of their reps understood what I had explained to them months earlier. It works, but is not that good. International rates are very attractive, although connections to Canada were often inaudible.

They are the Same company as SunRocket. Look ate their website.
Their service is crappy and their customer service is very poor.
I switched with them when Sunrocket went down but disconnected after a month.
You can tell that they were taking over Sunrocket but they weren't ready yet.

I'm sticking with voicepulse, been 3 yrs w/ them without too many issue.

I've had them since SunRocket days. The transition was very poorly handled and we had numerous connection and billing problems. However, for the past year I haven't had an issues with them. Our phone line is very reliable and the quality is very good. I'm making regular calls to South Africa and England and on average the call quality sounds like I'm calling next door.

I'm on a $12.95/month plan from SunRocket days - don't know if they'll match that but no harm in mentioning it to a CSR.

yes, Teleblend are crooks. They kept billing me for 7 months after I cancelled them. I finally had to cancel my credit card; major pain. I hate this company.

I still have them because I am too lazy to switch. They royaly sucked for the first 3 - 4 months after the transition. They seem to have recently added all of the features I used to have with Sunrocket so I probably won't drop them now. The service has been uninterupted (to my knowledge) for several months. I'd only sign up with them if you want no contract, otherwise go with something like ViaTalk when they offer the 2 year deals.

I heard ViaTalk also and recently Vonage is having blank moments during the call, confirmed by another co-worker we are on 14.99 Unlimited plan, is there is choice over Vonage or telebend is better than 14.99 blank out Vonage service.

I actually went from 3mb/512 dsl to 6mb/7xx and tested up to 5x/6x but still blank outs are there.

ViaTalk is on 199 scheme right now for 2 years.

Any place which has ranking of VOIP provides, non ISPs?

I'll second VoicePulse. Have been using them for about 6 months and it has been very stable, good call quality. I have e-mailed their support a few questions and they always responded within 24 hours or less. Good features too.

I don't know, I've had Teleblend since sunrocket. I was a sunrocket customer for a good while as well. Customer service at the beginning was bad, but I have heard that it has gotten much better. I can't say it has or not because I haven't called him in a while.

All I know is that my wife is not complaining about the phone not working, so they are good in my book.

Shady business practices (they keep upping their "fees", there is a 5100 minute limit to their unlimited- which is false advertising, and they do not fulfill refunds in a timely manner) and down service too often to recommend them. There are other options that are better- Quantum Voice being one of them.

By the way, that $199/ 2 year deal doesn't include their $3.45 "fee" that they bill every month. And don't believe the "government mandated" crap. It isn't. The government ALLOWS them to charge for this, but THEY set the rates if at all.

Oh yeah, don't forget the HORRIBLE early termination fees...

Another positive from a former Sunrocket customer. I was too shell-shocked to try Vonage when SR went down; Teleblend did not require long-term contract, and that way I was sure I would keep my old number. They just inherited/bought Sunrocket switching equipment, web site design; as far as I can tell the only major change they made was to set up their own customer account site. Teleblend charges me more because I need to keep my secondary call-in # (about $5/mo) since I moved and need to let people where I used to live call me w/ a local #.
At first I stayed with Teleblend to keep my # until I could check out Vonage & others; have since decided to stay with it for good, and have not regretted it so far.

If you need TLC human service on your account, I have strong doubts Teleblend can meet your needs - just look at the Help topic links on their web site: all "still under construction" (and it's been about a year since they took over).
OTOH, I have checked my account, and to date, FWIW, their billing has been correct so far, so no need for customer service (thank the Lord!). International calls (France) come in at $0.02/min, so you would need to talk for hundreds of minutes before Vonage's rate beats it.

So far, voice service to USA (and overseas) has been good overall - neither I nor people on the other side of the line noticed noise, etc. Once in a while, will get silence on an incoming call, not sure if from Teleblend VoIP or from the caller's end; but this is very rare (no more than once every month or two), caller tries again and we can talk fine then.

Fax is very problematic, I think it depends on time of day (fail to deliver/receive when neighbors on my cable IP line watch movies, download?) - definitely not a solution for your business. If you only fax 1-2x/month, & can tolerate sometimes needing to try fax 2-6x before it gets through, should be OK. OTOH, if you depend on receiving Faxes from others, would not go the VoIP route. I don't know for a fact that is a problem with Teleblend alone, I suspect that most all VoIP solutions will likewise have problems; unless you pay for the much more expensive Fax-quality upgrade (if available, I'm not sure?)

Government taxes/charges for universal phone access were applied to all VoIP providers a couple of years ago, I don't know of ANY company that would eat those and not pass them along to customers. At least, with Teleblend, they add up to $3.87/mo, less than with AT&T POTS landline (bill went up almost 50% after they added all those extra government fees & taxes) : for a single-# lifeline phone with pay-per-call and long distance charges beyond 10 miles from my home, no caller ID, no blocking incoming # from annoying fake charity solicitors, no call forwarding to cell phone if your # is busy or you are not at home; all features that I like with Teleblend, and still the AT&T bill was higher (with NO local or Long Distance call charges) than the Teleblend one (after taxes).

Sorry about the long post. Bottom line: YMMV, but overall, if your expectations are realistic for the low fees, Teleblend should give overall dependable phone service at a great rate; no pre-pay (I did pre-pay to SunRocket, so wound up losing 3-4 months of prepaid service - others lost a lot more).
