50" old Non-LED DLP for $1000 + Tax is not hot... Amazon has newer HL50A650 model for $1139 shipped.

Currently, only the 7-Series Samsung DLP's are LED, the 61 and 67. The 650 DLP's are lamp-based. However, prior to the 750 DLP's, Samsung did have smaller LED's like the HL-S5679W.

I've never seen a 67 inch tv up close. That has to just be crazyness. If I got one I'd hook up my 8-bit NES to it just to see how tall mario is LOL.

This is also rear projection (not noted by OP), which means more bulky and weighty. Although this one isn't to bad.

Most of the new DLP are slim. The 60" DLPs can be moved by two sissy/wussy men who are not all PUMPED UP!

Put a 1080p 61" DLP next to the biggest 1080p LCD you can find and you will have a hard time throwing down the extra $$$ for the LCD. IMHO the DLP HDTVs have a better picture. Especially for gaming! big LCDs have chronic motion blur.

I guess I'd rather just spent the extra cash and buy the Samsung HL61A750 61-Inch 1080p LED Powered DLP HDTV $1,759.98 Free Shipping from Amazon.com. For $760 extra you get the best DLP.

The TV is in stock but stand is OOS. There is always something adding slowly to my homicidal rage that will one day snap inside me. Anywhoo ... *goes back to cleaning rifle*
