I've got the 7" model and like it. It's compact, highly mobile, and does the job of picking up wi-fi spots and gives me more than a handheld device. It's only useful for a secondary computer, however. The keyboard is small. This is a good price for a 9 inch, almost as cheap as my 7".
I just noticed that ZZF is listing a 9" Acer Aspire with flash HD and linux, for $395. It's listed as out-of-stock right now. Apparently the competition in this market is heating up. I've read Dell is talking about making an entry in a few months, as is MSI with their "Wind". As I said, I like my 7" eee pc surf. It has most applications that I could need on a secondary computer, although I wish I had some scanning software. The only problem is, I wouldn't want to have to do long documents on OpenOffice, not because it's not good software, but the keyboard is small. It's a step up from a handheld or pda, though, and that's good.
