Another one that you should check out is the track from Marah. This song isn't there best, or even from their
best album, but it is a great free song. Download it. You have nothing to lose but a little bandwidth.

Agreed. However, after previewing a few, I thought I would share a few that I liked, thus opening me up to ridicule for my taste in music...

Lo Fidelity All Stars had a couple for free that were interesting to me, but I didn't download. I may still yet.


Saw Firewater on a random late night at Casbah in San Diego, absolutely amazing group of musicians - the album comes no where near doing the "full band" justice.

No, they're free because many of the smaller labels are ingenious in they're marketing, knowing that many times if people like what they hear, they will buy more. (read music loyalists) There's a reason sites like Emusic kicks so much ass, (and constantly offer free "sample" albums and large labels are crumbling; more and more ears are are finding music through alternative means (myspace, emusic, facebook, online radio) as opposed to the laughable top 40 selection previously available.

Less than 600 songs free now....BUT some of them are not free so be careful what You click on. I almost got charged for a song.(Free mixed with Buy).Thanks OP.
