To search for a particular genre click on link above and type rock or country or whichever genre you please in search bar than sort by price to bring up all free songs first.
Once sorted by genre you have a preview all option that plays pieces of all songs back to back. I just sit at my desk & work & when I hear something I like I go back to the site and download it.

Agreed. However, after previewing a few, I thought I would share a few that I liked, thus opening me up to ridicule for my taste in music...
Song - Band/Singer Borneo - Firewater Shine With Me - P.O.D. Your California - Parker Brothers Asking for Flowers - Kathleen Edwards
Lo Fidelity All Stars had a couple for free that were interesting to me, but I didn't download. I may still yet.

Play a sample of Ted Nugent / Free for All. Sounds like Beavis singing.

This is not free because your fingers must work to get the stuff. 1400 clicks in all with some default setup. By the way, I browsed all 700 of them. The one that you may not want is the 78 minutes of 2008 Tournament Of Roses Audio Tour.
glenatuf said: Anyone figured out how to make downloadThemAll work for this?
That's too complicated. On Firefox browser at Amazon download page, all you need to do is click TOOLS select OPTIONS... click MAIN select SAVE FILES TO, click BROWSE to tell Firefox where all the downloads will be click GET MP3, wait for PROCESSING, PURCHASED then click the next GET MP3
You can queue up as many download clicks as you wish depending on your internet speed. I'm doing 10 at a time.
All the above steps will save you 700+ clicks. Only 1 click is needed to download 1 song. I hope RIAA will not sue me for this.

Yeah, seriously, I downloaded like 4 songs. The other 10 minutes that I spent flipping through the rest of the songs, well, that's 10 minutes of my life that I'll never get back...
oxygenmm said: I didn't post this in the free stuff forum since the value is greater than $10 if you download all or many of the free songs per hot deal FAQ's.
It's debatable whether the "value" of all of these songs adds up to be greater than $10 (it's a joke! ha ha! you know? relax... )
The Nina Persson (lead singer from the Cardigans) song is ace and the Lo Fidelity All Stars are good as well. The Raveonettes are a good Danish band, and the classic "if you leave" from OMD makes this a HOT DEAL.

Blasphemy!
“Political Correctness is about turning a blind eye to painful reality because your comfortable feelings are more important to you than saving lives and providing quality of life to people who work their ass off to be productive and are a benefit to this great American Dream.”...Ted Nugent

Picked up the P.O.D. track, which was meh, ok. Didn't see much else that appealed to me, anyone else have any suggestions. Regardless, thanks op, green!

If you like Kate Bush, the Kate Bush Tribute sounds *just* like the original songs... of course, if you like her, you probably already have the real songs.
For some reason, there's a slew of Ramones tracks and Frank Sinatra. Other notable "main-stream" artists include several tracks off the Austin Powers soundtrack. There's a U2 track in that list too. By and large, if you're complaining about the time spent looking through the list to save $10, well, you're really on the wrong site then...
If you like housemusic or club music there are several free downloads worth the "price" - put 'em in your mp3 player - go workout - take em off your computers hard drive - works for me.
superjedi said: I don't know any of the artists...... so perhaps that's why they are free
You don't know the artists because free radio in this country is primarily owned by 2 companies and they both suck. There are some good artists in here who you should check out. Kathleen Edwards is a phenomenal artist out of Canada and the version of Asking For Flowers is different than the album version. Check it out, then buy the album if you like it.

I doubt if you listened to 700+ songs. There are some very good songs on here. They are certainly not generic. Give them a try. Perhaps they will help you improve your English as well.

there are a couple decent Aerosmith covers available on the list (organize by album - its called Aerosmith Tribute"
Kathleen Edwards has been on Austin City Limits and all the Late Night shows; Letterman, Leno, etc. I think I have a bit of a crush on her. She's pretty cute. Not in an overtly sexual bombshell way, but in a 'your cool chick friend who you think is kind of cute, until one day it dawns on you that she's really quite beautiful inside and out and so you marry her' sort of way.
you know what the irony is? getting these for free helps the artists just as much as pirating the songs...........of course it's legal
.......wow, did i hear kathleen edwards? man i love her; saw here live at the belly up tavern in solana beach, CA, and have her recorded on ASL with allison kraus; edwards was fcking FANTASTIC live, and her husband plays guitar in the band and he screams on his gibson SG and slide as well.........awesome.....he also plays for brian adams i guess

He hasn't been touring with her lately. Luke Doucet (from Sarah McLachlan's band) played with her when I saw her in SF a few months ago. There is some speculation that songs like "Asking for Flowers" and "I Make the Dough, You Get the Glory" are songs written to her husband, so there may be trouble on that front. He gets a lot of music critic's attention for producing her great albums; perhaps more attention than she does for writing and singing the songs.

This becomes much easier (and fun) if you sort by album, Google the album to see if its interesting to you, then use Firefox and multiple click an album at a time per the method on page 1, then move the mp3s to an album folder.
Less than 600 songs free now....BUT some of them are not free so be careful what You click on. I almost got charged for a song.(Free mixed with Buy). Thanks OP.
