finally this deal is available directly from comcast. there is no free modem, but no rebate to deal with either.

there is a charge of $40 shipped for the self installation kit, but you can call and they will waive it if you ask politely.

you need to have a modem or you can rent one for $3 a month.

Comcast is the worst company ever for internet. Do not get their internet. Will threaten you with cancellation if you go over their bandwidth usage for "unlimited internet". They won't tell you what the limit is either. Dont trust comcast. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Did they even threaten you with cancellation? They didn't threaten anything in my case, they just disconnected it permanently without any warnings if you downloaded more than 60 gig a month.

I agree, they were illegally blocking BitTorrent traffic and are in court over it. They also paid a bunch of people money to take up seats at a Net Neutrality meeting at Harvard so prople interested in attending couldn'tLink.

Corporate Bastards!

I read the fine print on the bottom and saw that it was only for new customers. I will be attempting this deal since I am already paying 43 dollars a month.

I've never heard of that before. Based on many comments over on DSLReports, they issue warnings. More importantly, the invisible cap is WAY higher than 60GB, like an order of magnitude higher. I've exceeded 60GB (though not by much) numerous times. Whatever you ran up against, it was exceptional, and I feel there was more to it.
