Preemptive strike here: HD-DVD is dead. Yes, I know. Which is why you can get them for 5 bucks a pop. Good luck finding 2/$10 Blu-Ray discs out there.

WalMart Canada has put out bins with approximately 100 HD DVDs selling for 2 for $10.

From what I have heard, there are about 20 different movies available including Harry Potter 1-5, Unforgiven, T3, Superman 1978, Lethal Weapon, Scooby Doo, Troy, TMNT, V for Vendetta, Scanner Darkly, Phantom Opera, Swordfish, Xmas Vacation, Perfect Storm, Road Warrior, and a few others....I think all Warner Brothers titles.

This is ripped from AVS, where it was ripped from somewhere else I believe.

Are there any Canadian fatwalleters out there?

In case it has to be said, this deal is NOT available in US Wal-Marts as far as I know. I would love to hear otherwise.

Darn, I would totally buy borderline movies if they were $5. $10 a pop at Fry's is a little much for impulse, crappy movie buying.

Good deal, thanks OP!

Darn they will probably be gone before I get my passport. But green for the OP before the BR fanboiz come in and piss on the campfire.

I know....I am in Missouri.....somehow I don't think I can justify a trip to Canada to go to Wal-Mart, what with there only being 3 supercenters within our city of 80,000

Damn, why do the 51sters get all the good deals lately?

agreed, even at $7-9, i hesitated on some movies, but $5...can't resist!

i suppose we can look forward to the USA WalMart following suit at some point...and since there's 1-2 Walmarts in almost every city in a metro area, it might be a fun scavenger hunt.

OHHHHH CAN--A--DA . . . . .

I just went out and hugged my maple tree!

So why can't us poor but honest Americans get a piece of this fantastic deal? The Canadians are whipping our asses right now. I guess if you have to get beat, it's better to have the whipping come at the hands of a friend.

I only live about four or five hours from the border, but the gasoline price puts this deal out of reach for me.

I sure hope this comes to a Wal-Mart near to me. They pulled the HD DVDs out of all the stores so fast after HD went belly up. I wondered where they ended up. Now we know. They were exported to Canada, where people are smart enough to recognize a good deal.

WalMart prob decided to sell all the HD DVD stock in Canada because their money is worth more.

Good deal, eh. I would be all over Unforgiven, Xmas Vacation and Roadwarrior if I felt like driving all the way up the state. If any Canadians wanted to send me those down here in Idaho I would appreciate it, eh.

I'm so used to paying $3.99-$5.99 for my HD DVDs from inetvideo.com that these prices look expensive, lol. I just wish they have a better selection..

while those prices are a bit cheaper they definitely do not include shipping (although the $5.99 sale did for a very short time I believe), which of course you don't have to worry about at a Wal-Mart B&M store. Plus these are for Warner titles which generally have not been on the inetvideo site for the most part.
