Circuit City has this well rated Antec MX-100 SATA HDD enclosure for $20, less 10%. That is $18 plus tax. Free in store pickup available subject to availability. No eSATA though...

Amazon has the same for over $30. You can check reviews there.

nice find. People were eating up the same one from the Fry's deal last week ($20-ish).

I was tempted then, and more so now. But.. gotta wait for a primo MX-1 deal.

Some are giving this red without explaining why. Are there some other similar enclosures which are better at similar price point? Please let me know, I am still open to suggestion.

Yes if you don't mind waiting. The MX-1 usually has a nice rebate every now and then and is an AWESOME enclosure. If you need a SATA enclosure without needing eSATA and want something fast, the one in the OP is fine.

I believe people are giving red because the same enclosure was $9.99 on several occasions at Fry's B&M (not sure about online). But this is a decent price at $18 for those without access to Fry's.

Aah..I see. thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately I don't have a fry's close by and need the drive now. Fry's is showing $40 and sold out!

Could anybody check the power adapter is 110v only, or 110/220v? Thanks.
