That other thread doesn't even compare. First off, the $399 was and is readily available everywhere since they introduced that version of the PS3. The MGS PS3 has been sold out at Amazon since before it's launch (pre-sale included). Obviously a lot of people don't like paying taxes otherwise Amazon wouldn't have been selling out of their weekly stock in 3 minutes (I got there 4 minutes after it was in stock once and was out of luck). I know because I'm one of those people who wanted one but didn't need one right away, so saving $40 on taxes made the $500 MSRP pill a little easier to swallow. If you want BC with PS2, this is a must buy now, as in September the price of these new will be well over $600 like they were before the MSG package came out for the now defunct and lesser Motostorm 80 gb package. Also, demand for the PS3 was obviously solid, as there was a fervent reseller market on eBay and Amazon alike with price ranges of $600-$650. The OP had no way of knowing this wasn't going to sell out equally as fast in the past, so give him a break. It fooled me too, as soon as I found out about this deal, I dropped everything I was doing and ordered it ASAP. Thanks for posting OP.
