Found @ SD:

Purchase a set of any four new Michelin® brand passenger or light truck tires, and receive a $50 American Express® Gift Card!*

Should be good considering that Costco has a sale on Michelins starting 8/11. Link

and BJ's has a coupon in the Fall BJ's Journal for $60 off a set of 4 Michelin passenger or light truck tires valid 7/31 to 8/13.

The rebate is valid until 8/15.

Too bad if Costco will not qualify. How about BJ's? Would have been a good find! But Green!

Where does it say that?

My costco shows up on michelin's dealer locator, where it says "Michelin retailers are independent retailers, which is why Michelin does not set pricing. Please see your authorized Michelin retailer for pricing." So it would seem that Michelin consider Costco (and my local Sams) a retailer.

I think I may give it a try but I'm not holding my breath on the
AMEX gift card.

The line that may (also) kill it is:

"not valid with any other offer"

I am going thru that non-sense right now with a SONICARE rebate on a toothbrush
purchased at Costco. The toothbrush had a $15 "instant-rebate taken at cash register"

The folks at Sonicare first refused my rebate using the "not valid with any other offer".

They relented when I called someone at corporate and asked for them to return my UPC code
so that I could return the item back to COSTCO.

I guess for $10 they didn't find it worthwhile to mess with the issue so they agreed to
just process my rebate.

For $50 gift card they may dig their heels in a bit harder, but that's what FW and SD are all about.
If it was easy, everyone would do it!

I wonder if that is because Sonicare underwrote the instant REBATE that was paid at the register. As far as I can tell, the tire thing is a Costco sale, not underwritten by Michelin.

I'll probably do this deal, but I only need two tires at the moment. Not looking forward to two extra unmounted tires hanging around here. BTW, my cars will fit a full size spare, so I can't use up the extra tires that way.

Does anyone know if this will work with BF Goodrich tires? (aren't they owned by Michelin?)

I have used Michelin in the past to match original tires but not anymore. I think Michelin is overpriced. The cheapest Michelin for my car is $150 a tire (MVX4 ), $600 for four tires plus 8.25% sales tax or $650. Net cost is $590 AR, Michelin tires have 60K miles warranty.
I got 4 new tires ($102 each) from Pep Boys last month, bought 4 get 1 free, $538 out the door. After $102 rebate, net cost including sales tax $436 AR. The Hankook tires have 75K miles warranty. This month, Pep Boys still offers buy 4 get 1 free.
All prices that I quoted include:
Mounting, Balancing, Lifetime Services, New Rubber Valve Stem, Environmental Tire Disposal, Road Hazard Warranty.
So the big difference is I don't get Nitrogen gas in my tires bought from Pep Boys but I got 15K more miles, and $154 to shop at Target.

The deal is for Michelin, not BF Goodriches. I got 2 BFG tires 3 weeks ago to go with the other 2 I picked up in Dec. If only the tires on my civic had just waited to blow out until a little later, I could have used this coupon. Stupid tires.

Same problem here.

Due to an unrepairable flat, I had to replace one tire. Then, you can't have a new and not so new on the same axle --> 2nd new tire. So I have two new tires, and two not so new tires. I am now forever out of step with the age of the tires, preventing me from taking advantage of the regular costco 4 tire promotions

There should be buy 2 tire promotions for people like us. I bet there are millions of drivers out there with sets of mismatched age tires.

BTW, have you seen/heard about this?
