$240 free money is not good enough? It is same to 8 months free high speed service!

seems good. the only problem with this service at least in the early reviews is that you cannot watch HD on more than 1 tv at a time with this. the line limitations limits the tv bandwidth. not to mention if you use the dvr also. it uses even more

Which vendor is it for the $40 Cash Back? I search for uverse and didn't find anything and AT&T didn't come up with $40 or uverse orders for that matter.

I can not wait till this becomes available in my area so I can tell Comsuck to stick it. It says up to 2 hd channels can be recorded which is what I can do now

Just FYI, in order to get the $200 back from ATT, you have to order it online and the minimum package much consist U-200 package with Internet and/or phone service (which is limited for now).

I was lucky to have the service. Honestly it's awesome. The DVR can record up to 4 SD stream shows or 2 HD stream shows at the same time and it comes standard with U-200 and up TV packages.

Also, when you order, what you can do is call the Internet ordering department. There is a phone number on the ordering site and yes if you order that way you are qualified for $200 Cash Back.

By the way, if you are lucky, you might be able to get $10 each month for 6 months. This was known as the employee referral credit but sometimes if you say you switched from other provider (like I did) they might be able to slap that in as well.

Personally I have the U200 with Internet Max, same price as I am paying with Charter (cable) but I am getting DOUBLE the service AND $200 back.

Again if they service your area, seriously consider it though. And... how do I get the $40 FW Cash Back...

They are busy installing uverse on my street, but since it can't do cablecard, I won't be able to use my TiVo S3... I'll still use them as leverage to get a better deal from Comcast though...

I believe that now you can watch 2 HD streams at a time on U-Verse. Either way, the quality of the service and the features blow away Comcast's right now.

can anyone speak from experience on how good the service is if you have more than 1 hdtv in the house? i was seriously considering getting this a few months ago, but not being able to watch 2+ hdtvs at the same time killed it for me.

here is a good review of the service.

I have had AT&T Uverse and I can confirm that you are able to watch 2 HD channels at one time. I have had their service for about 6 months now, and it was just changed about 2 months ago. The whole house can only have 2 HD at a time (such as 1 HD DVR Recording, 1 HD viewing on same TV, and SD on the rest of the tv's). Or 2 TV's can watch HD and you can only record SD on the DVR.

So far I am very pleased with the service, I was able to get Internet Express (1.5 down / 1.0 up) plus U200 plus HD free for 12 months for $74/month. After my 1 year, it goes up to $84 month. The current regular price is $84/month without HD (I get a $10 double pack discount which is no longer offered). FYI, no extra charge for DVR, but you can only get 1 DVR.

I can't complain, I was paying 30 month for DSL Pro and a basic phone line (which I had no use for). Standard cable from Comcast was $56, which would bring my total to $86 (and that was without HD, without DVR, and for much less channels, but much faster Internet)

Have had it for about 6 months also.

Been very pleased w/ the service. yes you can now watch 2 HD ch's at a time now.

In the future you'll be able to watch your recordings from your DVR box on other receivers in the house as well.

I've been very happy with uverse. I have a 25MB pipe to my house; 15MB for tv and 10MB for dsl. I got the Cash Back plus 1 yr free HD cause I told them Dish was offering it to me to stay. The picture is better than what i was getting with Dish and the price for the bundle is almost a wash on what i was paying for Dish/DSL. I'm telling all my friends to switch over.

i signed up dish last november for their 18 month contract. I think the termination is $180. Should I just wait it out until next march or so?

That's a pretty hefty ETF, but if you're not happy with Dish then the $200 Cash Back cancels it out. I would at least call AT&T to see what other promo they can do for you to get you to switch. If I was you, i wouldn't cancel Dish until after AT&T has finished the install to compare which one you like better. There's no contract to sign with AT&T so if you don't like it, just pay the prorated charges and keep Dish. Also if you have dsl now and use a wireless router, you can sell/give the router away cause the 2-wire Gateway router provided by AT&T will provide both your tv and dsl sync. I know picture quality will differ for everybody, but since i have a pretty short copper run, my SD and HD picture is so much better than what i got with Dish.

Use PROMO CODE NH4797 and receive an additional $60 off for 6 months on top of the deals listed above. It's for AT&T employee friends and family.
