Could not find any reviews but user "iwearnosox" does not like this product.

here's a review of someone who likes it

I wish I knew more about this product. Seeing it in real life would help, but that isn't going to happen.

1100 watt seems kinda weak for a thermobloc to hold the temps maybe it just takes a while to warm up in between shots? look for reviews that might indicate long warm up, temp drops, and wait times between pulls, and froth temp.

most people burn coffee in their pod brewers at 195F with light pressure; espresso needs to be near 15bar but far lower temps (160'ish? i forget). it uses insane pressure and lower temps to extract the goodness without the toxins that come out at 195F.

Thanks OP. I just ordered this identical one in Black for only $129.14.

I especially like the fact that this machine can use ESE pods to make espresso AND use regular pods to make coffee. I already have a Senseo and have been shopping for an ESE pod espresso machine to put next to it. This machine will save considerable counter space for our under-sized kitchen.

There is a somewhat negative review on the Single Serve Coffee Foum

And they tend to like this kind of machine.

Note that the same machine in Black is at Amazon for $129.14.

This is a real large discount, green for OP. The fact that it uses ground coffee, and several kinds of pods must be seen as a plus.

It depends on if you like the taste of the coffee from these single serve makers. I don't.

For a similar price, a Nespresso would be better. It's the top-of-the-line pod coffeemaker.

I am getting a price of $229, is the deal over?

This doesn't directly relate to the deal, but here goes:

Espresso should be brewed in that pressure range (9 bar is a rule of thumb) at temperatures of 190-205, depending on the bean and your tastes. I think you're probably referring to the "in-cup" temperature. That is, after it's brewed, you see a great deal of heat loss in the transfer of liquid out of the machine and into your cup. 160 F is a good in cup temperature to shoot for.
