Although I agree with johnnythan that the extra $45 for the CX is definitely worth it, for those of you who don't want to shell out the extra money would still be getting a great unit for this price! I've owned the Legend for about 3+ years now and love it. I use it often for snowboarding, kayaking, hiking and especially geocaching and it's still going strong. (For those of you not familiar with that, check out Geocaching for more information.) Garmin makes some great products, and really stands behind them. I have a friend in the coast guard who really beats on his Legend unit, brought it with him in under 20 degree weather for a few days during a training exercise or something like that, and the screen froze. It still enabled him to track with it, but the screen had lines across it. He contacted Garmin about the problem and they had him send it back and they fixed it at no cost to him other than shipping to get it to them.
