Picked up 1 case/6qts at Kragen this afternoon.
According to the ads, the rebate amount should be $2.5/qt; however, the rebate amount is 3/qt according to the store rebate form. Depend on the rebate form you get from the store, you rebate amount may vary.
FYI: limited 6/qts per person. Rebate Form

Use Store Rebate Form if possible =).

In addition, there is also $10 rebate from Valvoline. exp on Sep. 15, 2008
Link
SO, you can make some $$$$ after both rebates, better than FAR!!

Price is 3.49/qt, and the rebate is 3/qt (mostly likely). Thus, 49 cents /qt AR. In addition to the 10 dollars from Valvoline, we can make some $$$$$

*************use store rebate form, DO NOT use the one linked above******************

coz only 10% people change oil themselves, and among them only 1/1000 have a Kragen Auto Parts easily accessible, plus this is a dual rebate situation, so much trouble for so little love~~~

Good deal! Valvoline mfr. rebate requires original receipt, but the Kragen store rebate only asks for copy of receipt, right?

No Kragen ad in the LA Times this week, but I just noticed this was posted last week. So I pulled up last week's ad and didn't see any mention of Synpower in there (usually these deals involve using an ad coupon to bring down the in-store price).

I hope the deal's still on.

The deal is still on, and the price effective from July 27 to Aug. 23. You can find more info from the special ad IN STORE!!

At my store it is listed on a separate 1 page ad full of coupons. It is not included in the ad that they mail out.

Nice! Did this deal the last time around back in April and got my rebate in June I think. Perfect timing as I changed my oil in April and am due for another oil change next month. I used Mobil1 previously. I can't feel my car running at idle but usually toward the end of the five months I can feel it a little. I'm at 4 months and it still feels like I just chnanged my oil.

I know that is highly unscientific but I can't justify the premium for Mobil1 and I'm finding that this cheap $0.99/qt Valvoline oil 'feels' better anyway!

Thanks OP

Got the deal at my local Shucks. Rebate form says $3 back per quart, so that's $18 back. You only need to send in the rebate authorization receipt and the rebate form to get the $18-not UPCs or original receipt is required, so there should not be a problem in getting the $10 back from Valvoline.

So did you pay $3.49 before rebate (which is what it would have to be for the $2.50/qt rebate form posted in this thread) or $3.99? This is a killer deal.. I think I'll go down to Checkers tonight!

Yar, the price is 3.49/qt. Keep in mind that you only can get 6/qts; well, use mult. address if you want/can.

Thanks for the price confirmation. This is SMOKING! Throw in the Valvoline rebate and it's on fire. I'll have to find an extra name/address to use for rebates.. 12 quarts would have me set for 15 months! I'm excited to do this deal only because CSK Auto rebates are very reliable.
