Warning: These do not come with an AC adapter/charger, just a USB charging cable. I bought a 5GB one at Fry's a couple of months ago. If the battery has less than a 25% charge, the player cannot be charged via USB. I did find a solution though... go here: Link to Dell DJ charging solution |

i still have an even older 15GB first generation DJ. Use it in the kitchen, buttons do random stuff at times and the right operations at times. But, after so many years, it still works, so i keep it around. |

Anyone know where to find an extra USB cable for these? I have my old 30GB DJ but want a 2nd cable. Funny thing is the cable itself used to be $20. For $15 more I could get another 20GB DJ. Edit: Looks like this should work. |

I should've bought the 5GB Pocket DJ from creative.com instead of Fry's. I would've saved $10 and at least Creative would do warranty work on it. My 3rd Pocket DJ only lasts two hours on a full charge and the previous two I had to exchange since they had bad hard drives. I go through this lengthy email exchange with Creative and all they had to say was this: "Thanks for getting back with us. Let me assists you further. I understand you would like to fix/change your Dell Pocket DJ. Kindly be inform that we are not able to fix/change your Dell Pocket DJ since we only exchange products purchased directly from us. Therefore regarding your case, kindly exchange your Dell Pocket DJ with retailer (Fry's Electronics). Thanks again for contacting us." And the label on the box says "Creative offers a 90 day limited hardware and service warranty." For those who have bought refurbed Pocket DJs from creative.com, does your invoice include the player's serial number? Does it come in a plain brown box? I kinda just want to buy a Pocket DJ from creative and then return the one from Fry's and get a refund or exchange. |

I was shipped a AC adapter/charger for each of the two I bought. Turns out it was the wrong ones. I called and was told by CSR that it was an error on thier part. Anyone else have this happen? |

Anyone else have this happen? Same here. I was looking all of the player to see where it went. Good to know it was an error. I can stop looking now. Since they didn't include instructions, I downloaded the Dell manual and still couldn't figure it out. I have been charging mine with the USB cable. Was there supposed to be an AC to USB charger included? What did the CSR tell you Creative was going to do about the error? Anything? |

CSR said the correct one could be found at the Dell website. What was shipped was an error. Just have to find something to go with "free" ones. USB charger cable was all that was supposed to be sent. |

Anyone else have this happen? Actually, Dell wants you to spend $20 for the adapter that allows you to use that "free" AC Charger that was included in the box. Go to Dell.com, type 310-6239 in the search box, and you'll see what you're missing... |
