Thanks BrianGa. If this works, then I plan to be set for watching a movie every sat and sun till the end of Sept. (that's when the code expires).

I am sure AMEX will check your first and last name both against any card members name and account types they may or may not have. It would not be difficult for them to do a basic crosscheck, so don't bet on the free ticket if you are not a card holder...

if they don't check your name, how do they know you even have a card. they don't collect the actual card number.
