The SX100 is a great camera, has IS, 10X zoom, and a nice lens. |

Thanks OP. For my daughter's busted SD800-IS I was offered a refurb G9 for $250. Other things they offered was SD850 IS $150 and the XT for $275. No interest in the latter, I am still thinking about the former. I asked if there is an expiration date on the offer and was told that there is not |

If the 1ds is not broken, I'd offer you a brand new A580 for free in exchange, LOL Kapytalyst said:Wonder what they'd offer me for my old 1Ds... |

CZConsidering the only decent deals so far are for fairly decent cameras, and even then aren't massive, probably just not worth it. I am half way tempted to scam a serial number and see what offering a digital rebel would get though. Though actually a known problem with some of the canon digital cameras http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=PgComSmModDisplayAct&keycode=2112&fcategoryid=226&modelid=11154 is that the serial number wears off, so you could see what you could get without having the camera yet, but I am just too lazy. Ed: actually since the info is in the exif you can go to flickr search by camera select a camera of the sort you were thinking, and click more properties on one of the images (may take a few tries find one that displays exif). Then you would at leaat know if it was worth it... but far far too much work for little old me |

Does anyone know if this only works with their digital line of cameras? I was hoping to use this to upgrade from and SLR to a DSLR. |

some of those old film cameras can be more valuable than digital cameras. |

Called in to check what they would offer for my broken SD1000 ( famous lens error ), they offered the same deal. My questions is $275+ tax + $10 (shipping) good for a refurb XT with 6 months warranty?? I already own a Sony A100 DSLR, trying to justify if the canon XT offer is good for me to buy |

Are all the models that they offer refurbs? I have a A80 in good condition. Wondering whether it will be worth doing the trade. |

Could you use an ancient reflex camera? Actually I have an F1 with all the top of the line (for back then) pro kit (fast lenses including wide angle, motor drives, battery kits, etc). Edit > Oops! I saw in the summary the models that qualify for trade-in. Keep updating the trade-in models. Maybe one of my old film Canons will qualify. I'll post what I find if I call them. Thanks |

I called in and they are offering same deal as OP ('saferisk'). I am getting "Rebel XT 8MP Digital SLR" for my "Canon PowerShot SD110 3MP Digital Elph with 2x Optical Zoom" 4 year old camera. Thanks 'saferisk'. |

$307 for the Rebel, $23 for a broken S300 on eBay minus whatever I can get on eBay for my previous-model Rebel (300D). Not too bad. Thanks, OP! |
