I have a question to those that have used various AV programs. Right now I have CA and it seemed to do okay but thought for the price, I would try the KIS. Do I have to remove the CA before I install and use the new one?
Yes, you can only have one AV product installed at a time. You'll probably have to remove any firewall (like ZoneAlarm) if you have one installed. Kaspersky and ZoneAlarm definately don't play well together.
I've been using Kasperksy AV and IS for a while now, with no problems other than AV not wanting to co-exist in a friendly way with ZoneAlarm (And I suspect that is a ZoneAlarm issue).
I replaced Norton products because they messed up my registry so bad I had to re-install Windows. I've been much happier since putting in Kaspersky. Of course, I'm sure others have differering stories.
