just read a post where they revealed the secret codes to get free phones from t mobile only offered to jetblue and phillip morris employees. Upon reading the article I called myself, and the girl who answered the hone doesn't even ask you which company you work for. Try it out, while they allow it!
There is a way for regular folks to get a Free Sidekick with activation on t mobile. All that you have to do is identify yourself as an employee of jetBlue employee, which has friends and family program. You must call 866-464-8662 and use option 3. The promotional code is 1240. You also get 12% off your monthly bill, which is something you cannot get in the stores. It is this simple. I thought there must be a catch but my source on the inside of jetBlue told me they do not even check when you call this number if you actually work there.

After finding this out, I called up another friend at Phillip Morris and asked if they were ever offered incentives to sign up to a mobile company. Without even thinking about it he pulled out a sheet and read to me that he could get a free Blackberry Curve 8320 phone, and even a Shadow, if you use the Phillip Morris discount code when calling 866-464-8662 option 3, promotional code 2609. You will get 8% off your bill. No activation fees. I called the number and let the employee who answered know I wasn't an actual employee but a friend of someone who used to work at jetBlue and they still said no problem. They obviously want to just get their phones into the public's hands.
Just to verify that the information I received from both parties was true, I called them myself to find out what was offered. I gave the promo code to the kind lady who answered the phone explained that I would be entitled for everything I wrote above, but also I would receive a $30.00 credit towards accessories! Only catch was I have to sign a year contract. The Blackberry Curve and Shadow were both free of charge after mail in rebate.

this offer is chance at best. If you get signed on with discount price, and they discover false statement, will you be locked in to full rate?

Too bad I'm already in a contract with them, good find!

There is nothing to discover, they do not even care when you call them. They are more interested in getting you into the year contract then worrying about if you work there. Remember it is a Friends plan too!

makes sense. It is a friends plan too

Is this just for new activations?

If you are a current T-Mobile customer, do they allow you to keep you phone #? In the Philip Morris deal, is there any other phones available? Thanks.

Edit: I know that it is a dumb question, but if you get the blackberry 8320, do you have to get a data plan? Thanks.

Thanks OP. Just took adventage of this offer.

Here's how I did it. Gave Philip Morris promotion code. I have a family plan with 3 lines, one under contract (my teenage daughter who has lost or broken her phones more times than I can count) and my husband and me who have no contract and very old phones -- no speaker phones, my daugheter called our phones "ghetto."

I ordered two new lines -- 2 new phone numbers. I will receieve two Blackberry Curves in 2 days with a total cost to me of about $16 for tax after I send in the two $100 rebates. Activaton fee of $35 on each phone is waived.

I will take the new phones with the two old phones to my local T-Mobile store where they have a machine to copy the info on the sims cards from the old phones to the new phones. Then I will cancel my two existing phone numbers which are not under contract.

Plus, they are going to give me an 8% discount on my T-Mobile bill from now on. I just signed up for the T-Mobile at Home package, so all in all this should save me a bunch of money.

Thanks again OP.

Tried last night, got shot down. CSR said the policy has changed, at least for the Jetblue promo,
and is now available ONLY to actual employees.

Well, called last night mentioned the code 2609. got shadow free after rebate & one year contract without any problem. I did ask about 8% off thing and the guy said it is for employee only and you must prove you work for the company. But for the phone, it is okay for family and friends.

I am in a family plan and my contract has already expired. I am going to switch my number to prepaid and after I got the phone I'll port the old # to this new phone. Anyone knows if this gonna work out? Thx!

I don't see a Blackberry Curve 8320 on the T-Mobile phone list. Which one is it?

Edited: Its the Titanium Curve. It's the most expensive model. Is it really FREE after rebate?

I took advantage of this offer under the Philip Morris Promo. The Titanium color Blackberry Curve is Out of Stock. I got 2 of the sunset/red ones for a net cost of about $16 (CA sales tax) after I send in the 2 $100 rebates.

The phones are for me and my husband. I was told that if the Titanium color comes back in stock within 30 days, I can swap my husband's red phone for the titanium one -- that way we can tell them apart. He's kind of a conservative guy so he would prefer not to have a red phone, although I think it is a dark red. Haven't seen it yet.

The phones are supposed to arrive today -- free shipping, plus I get a 8% ongoing discount on my T-Mobile bill.

Hey to make sure you receive all the discounts, you should just say you work for the company. If you say you do not work for the company without them asking you are slighting yourself. You can always say your email address is xxxxx@jetblue.com there is no way they can check it.

does the curve work with the tzones ($5.99/mo) proxy setting? with the built-in gps, can it operate without internet? Can you load maps into the phone?

Same here, I am in a family plan as well & now I have to leave T-Mobile to go to AT&T since that is the only way I can get new phones (the LG Vu - TV phone). I think you will have to be on prepaid for 90 days before T-Mobile will consider you as a new customer. If this is NOT true please correct me right now because I am hatin it!
