I'm thinking of getting rid of my Acer AL2416WBSD 24" for this. Anyone recommend it?

Anyone know if any of the Samsungs will do a 1:1 input on a 1080p input signal ? or will they stretch it to 1920X1200 always. I thought some of the 1920X1200 monitors knew to do 1:1 on it.

Is this TN panel? How do you identify this?

A mini review. Seems to be a TN panel.

Umm the review above indicates no HDCP - so no PS3 connection

The Samsung website for the 2443BW says there is HDCP on the DVI input.

What's with the 2443BW model number, does that mean it's black and white?

Seriously, the 2443BW is a different model than the 2443BWX the OP posted, but both have HDCP.
The specs on the costco website show the 2443BWX as having HDCP.

I just ordered one. Btw, found a samsung rebate which *MAY* be applicable to this monitor. If someone can figure out the upc for the model it may help verify if the rebate is applicable or not. The rebate form does not preclude Costco so it is definitely worth a shot.

Nice catch. This model uses their old classic bezel and stand which is much better. Very tempted if the rebate works.

looks interesting...you think this is better than having 2 Dell E228s or better than Dell's E248 24" model??

need to pick up a monitor that I will be happy with!

nice catch on the rebate. I will definitely get one. How does it compare to the Acer AL2416WBSD

Nice ...... been waiting for the rebate to show up. This will make the price just about $350 after tax. The rebate is to take care of the tax.... was hoping for $50 rebate. Last BF I got the 245BW on CC deal as $450-10% off + tax - $50 samsung rebate - $70 CC rebate to get it at $318.41 after everything. This costco deal (assuming tax after coupon price, as they usually did) comes down to $347.79...... not quite cheaper, but still pretty good.

Has anyone seen this display at B&M?

the only thing bad about this monitor is the non-adjustable height.

The 2443BWX is VERY cheap made LCD compared to other Samsung LCD monitors. It does not use their old classic bezel style. (The stock photo on Costco's site is not the 2443BWX) The 2443BWX uses the same TN panel use in the Acer AL2416 series sold at Sams Club for $279-$299 (depending on club location) I would advise anyone actually considering this LCD to stop by a Costco and look at it first. IMO it is very poor quality. If you really want a 24" Samsung get the 245BW at Sams for $379.

BTW the Costco recipt for the 2443BWX clearly shows a $50 MFG Samsung coupon applied to the purchase right below the item. As has already proven MANY times in the past Costco Samsung deals purchases from Costco are always excluded from Samsung MFG rebates regardless of the terms stated on the form.

I went to Costco (Las Vegas) to check out the 244BWX. There wasn't any 244BWX model available for display, but I did see the 245BW (which I own) for display for $379.95. I'm contemplating on handing down my 245BW to my wife and taking a pair of 244BWX for myself. I couldn't comare 245BW against 244BWX so I didn't pull the trigger yet. Anyone have these two models, and would like to share their thoughts? Thanks.

So how does it compare to the Sceptre for $299?
Sceptre 24"
I was about to pull the trigger on the Sceptre last night and today the Sammy came up.

Edit: This came up today too
Viewsonic at Buy.com $299 w/FS

Opinions please?
