Stolen from bbrc554 @ SD.

Link.

If I didn't have 5 Frys within a 60 mile radius of me, I'd probably jump on this myself. It's a decent board for a budget build.

I'd like to green this deal but seeing what chipset the board is using, I have to warn any potential buyer - it'd be seriously crippled by the chipset's single-channel memory performance. I've tested an ECS motherboard based on the same chipset out of a Fry's E7200 combo deal and found that single-channel bottleneck a major performance bummer. A transcoding task that would have been done within 4 hours took this board 5+ hours to accomplish, a lot of CPU cycles were wasted. Also the memory datapath bottleneck doubles as a major overclock barrier in that it's not the CPU, instead the chipset that can't handle beyond a certain amount of throughput while you move up the FSB speed. For anyone interested in an Intel-based mATX HTPC board I'd suggest either get the latest Intel G45/43 based boards or wait for the nVidia's MCP7A-based boards coming in a couple of months.

It made my head hurt reading it but thanks for saving me the money

I'm currently using this board in my HTPC. I purchased this along with a Crucial DDR2800 deal back in Feb. and it's been running great with my current setup. I currently have my E2180 running at 2.6ghz on air (50 deg. load).
