The 806's are rolling in. This is a good deal on the legendary Onkyo TX-SR805 A/V Receiver, one of the most bang for the buck receivers ever made. The 806's audio section is inferior to the 805. So get an 805 while you still can. Check avsforum if you don't believe me.

You must sign up for the MS Live CashBack program however.

Here is the link for the MS Live search on this receiver. You must link to JR.com using the MS Live search to get the CashBack. It's basically 679.99 - (12% CashBack @ JR.com) = $598.39

Link

The 12% off can be applied to any other qualifying J&R purchase.

Thanks Op! Just ordered one. Can't wait to finally upgrade to a better receiver from the crappy one I have at home now.

Just pulled the trigger using MSLive CashBack to get the Onkyo TX-SR606B for $389.99 -12% (MSLive @ J&R) CashBack =$343.19, no tax, free shipping.

Also purchased the Polk Csi3 Center speaker for $99.99 - 12% CashBack = $88 + shipping for the Csi3. I wanted this speaker because it is a near perfect match for the Polk R50s I got from Fry's last week.

Thanks OP for bringing my attention to the increased CashBack.

Thanks OP, I have been looking for a receiver for a while and auditioned the 805 about 6 months ago, I was stepping up to a higher priced Yamaha to replace my 2095 I bought years ago, but to save a grand I am jumping on this.

now i cannot decide between this NEW for $598, or the refurbished one for ~$495 after MS live 25% eBay rebate...any suggestions fellow FWers?
TIA

I would not get a refurb, in my opinion, I have not had good experience with refurb units

The refurbs from ShopOnkyo are usually good, and come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty.

I used the link and added to the cart but get a total price of $679.99. I don't see the CashBack in the total. How does this work?

Hi, how do you get the refurbished $495? Thanks.

Thanks OP, picked one up. Been waiting for this for a while and missed the refurb deal in June for $500. New for just $100 is worth it for me and is still under Amaz@n's price of $674 for black.

Now I just have to hide a 60lb box from my wife, install it w/o her noticing, and try to convince her that the charge on my VISA statement must have been as a result of a stolen card #.

Don't forget the important accessories.

Onkyo must-haves

Total ~$569 for black or ~$530 for silver.
Don't have to do anything to get this deal or wait for MS CashBack to get credit.
Plain and simple.

They go on sale for $598 at Amazon every now and then too. If the gold box trick still works you can get it for $569- that's how I got mine at that price.
