That seems like a pretty darn good deal to me. Too bad I'm not a Sam's club customer.

On another note (and not meaning to thread hijack), is there such a thing as a 3-way CLF bulb for floor lamps? That's what I use the most.

No deal in NJ - 12.83 here...

Yes, they do exist; depending where you are looking they are often hard to find. Also, they cost about 3-4 times more than a standard CFL of the same output. I'll go on to further say that they seem to have gotten much better recently. I had one which I paid about $15 last year and it seemed like it was sluggish when switching 1-2-3; but a new one I just purchased seems no different then a standard bulb.

how about a sku# ?

Picked up an 8-pack myself from the same Sam's in Plano, TX. One was a dud, so check them all before storing them.

SKU 383330

If you select OP's club online, price does show $2.86 so you should be able to check your local stores online.

Lowes sold a Philips 3-way CFL bulb for $10.

3-way and dimmer compatible CFLs exist but are much more expensive.
