Seems like a decent deal.
Seriously considering this laptop as I've seen a few reviews of the 780V chipset and the AMD QL-60 that make me think this might be a decent performer. Saw it earlier this morning, not sure it's a hot deal for everyone, but for me it might be, decent performance, light and small for a 15.4". 1 thing to note about the ad is I believe the hard drive is actually a 160gig drive, not 120. I'll give you a green for a decent lappy that might do well with what I need it for, sketch up and maybe a few games.
Why the red? This has the new ATI IGP which rages. I wonder how much slower the 3100 is than the 3200. The 3200 is equal to a 8400m. Where are you going to get that for $400?

As a certified laptop killer, I must say my Toshiba (different model) had held up to a LOT of abuse.
ha! Mine too. Also different model. Its the only one I haven't killed so far. I have a laptop graveyard in my server rack. :/
What makes this hot is the 780V chipset which is the cousin of the 780G/GX that is wiping the floor in on board graphics. It is also NOT the nVidia 84/86xx chipset that has forced nVida to set aside $180 million reserve for repair of known defects in "HP" laptops. I have one of those and HP is going to rue the day they didn't refund Vista and let me void the warranty by going linux. Mine is 4 months old and the graphics are dying. Dell has already found the same problem. This chipset is a real power miser which help the battery life.
This is a ok deal, not a REALLY HOT!!

Because it has the AMD Athlon, it will be HOT HOT it has INTEL CPU..

This is not a "four hotter"
No Frys near me but online it $450. If it had more than 1 GB of RAM I'd be more inclined to get on this lappy.

Isnt Toshiba one of the best laptop brands? Besides, QueenieB and kniteowl stated that Toshiba's laptops are extremely durable, if not rugged.
I admit the brand is not as popular, or have as high of ratings as Lenovo, HP, or Apple, but Ive heard its not too shabby. Am I wrong?
Well... I have a 10 year old Toshiba that's been around the world 4 times with me. I don't treat it gently. I just have it in my backpack which I toss about and gets toss about all over the place. The case has cracked a few times from various drops off of bus roofs. But it still works like a champ.

Yes that's kool. Also I usally red those deals where the OP decides that it's hot.
