While shipping a TV is just plain expensive to begin with, those prices are well above shipping charges I've seen in the past. My own DLP even has a permanent, built-in stand that raises it to eye level and it weighs twice as much as regular DLPs, but shipping on it was under $200 cross-country.

Local pickup of $250 just goes to show you they're making money on delivery. There's absolutely no excuse for $250 local pickup. Even if they had to bust out a forklift to move it to a dock, what's that worth? Maybe $20 maximum? Hell, you buy a TV anywhere else and they'll get it into the back of your truck for free.

Local shipping charges are for shipping from Edina, Minnesota to your city. Pick up from Edina itself is free. May be HOT for those living near Edina, MN.
