That's true. Though for me, a refurb replacement for a > 3 yr old model isn't worth the time and money to RMA and install, so I'm not sure the extra couple years are worth much to me. Plus I try to replace all my drives every 3-4 years, before they fail if possible.
deal isn't that great. also, start looking out for 10k rpm HDD. prices are falling on those as well.
