All,
Cinemark has several different price structures depending on the features/age of their theatres, when their movies were released and the show times/days and how many are in your party.

Outside of Austin TX in Round Rock you can see second-run films for $1.00 all day Wednesday. $1.50 for all times except Friday and Saturday when it is $2.00.

Not mentioned on the site below is the best deal: on Mondays, with 3 or more people their ad in the Austin American Statesmen newspaper says it is 50 cents each with purchase of 3 or more tickets.

Many other areas of the country have similar Cinemark deals (if you can do without stadium seating, etc and don't mind seeing a film that's been out for a little bit.)

Link to my local discount theatre: Round Rock

Dallas has one at: in Garland

Tulsa, OK has one at: this link.

Or to search your area see: the main site and search by zip.. Please add your city below.

This is just the local discount theater. The movies are several months old and about to come out on DVD. We found the Round Rock theater to be rather lacking - even for $2. The floors are sticky, the seats uncomfortable, the movie has tons of flaws in it and for the first 3/4 of the movie we saw it was out of focus. I'd rather wait a few weeks and watch it at home on DVD through the $1 Red Box or similar.

During a summer when there are lots of blockbusters (and DVDs won't be forthcoming for a while) discount theaters can be great. My Cinemark (in North Little Rock) currently is showing Speed Racer, Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man. Still, there really isn't that much of a deal here, IMO.

The local 6 screen theatre in Tomball Texas shows FIRST RUN movies for cheap, no coupon or anything.

$2.25 matinees, and $4.25 evenings

The theatre isn't pretty, and for movies withs lots of special effects its better to spend the $, but we love going there. It never even sells out.

A family of 5 for $11.25 !!!

And Large popcorn and larg drinks have free refills.

It's the one at 249 and 2920

I changed titles to reflect how this thread may evolve. It would be nice to know what is in each city with reviews of each one for when we are traveling and need to break out and see a movie.
