Go easy - first deal post. Costco is selling VIZIO 32" Plasmas for $499. Seems like a deal for a cheap TV if you're looking for something in the 32" range.

Sam's Club has the same one at $678, but might not be worth it from them...
Great price breaks on Vizio LCD in the last couple days!

Can you please share your experience with this plasma (quality etc.)? I am looking for the same one and if available in NJ, will pick it up.
Thanks.

Ended up picking one of these up today. Nice set, nice price. Only beef is no dedicated sleep button on remote, need to go through menu. Not really a problem other than we're using this in the bedroom where a button would have been nice. Otherwise, lots of inputs, easy navigation, I still think a plasma looks better than an LCD, so I'm happy
ronald0211 said: confirmed, bought one in garden grove, CA yesterday. 32' LCD = $529 (newer model is $599) PLASMA = $499 (model VP322 HDTV 10A) does the plasma have a flat or glossy screen?
if it's flat, i would get that before the lcd, just to not have to worry about dead pixels in the future.

You should not use a Plasma as a computer monitor. The chance of having image retention and burn-in with a Plasma is greatly increased due to a lot of static images from a computer.

If it really bothers you, and/or if you have other components to control, then you could consider buying a relatively inexpensive learning remote with macros. The Sony RM-VL600 is a good one for under $25.
Actually just saw Vizio VW32L at Costco for $449. INSANE! I might have to get one for my extra just on principle. I have one already and the quality of picture is really good.

Also, the resolution of TV's is not usually adequate for computer use. Even HDTV's have a much lower resolution than a comparably sized monitor.

I have this TV - and I have an onkyo surround sound, and a trutech dvd recorder - not exactly remote-friendly brands. I purchased this Sony 4M-VL600 from amazon. It was really the best value I've ever gotten for $18 bucks.

Although my local Costco (Milford,CT) was out of this model, and will not be getting it back in, they did have the 32" vizio ldc for $399.I bought one yesterday.the two year warranty from costco was a major selling point for me!
