ash78 said: Confused...coupon is actually $40 off? The 10% off applies to DVDR, speakers, receivers, and subs. Not a big difference ($10), but just saying.
Pretty hot deal.
There are 3 coupons, use the one that says "10% off TVs $299 & up (including sale items)"
Quick answer is that most people expect a pretty good discount to take a plasma over an LCD. These days plasma is used mostly in the larger sizes, but even that is going away in favor of large LCD or DLP.
Plus: Better black levels than LCD
Minus: Heavier than LCD; Higher power consumption; Color/brightness can fade over time; Possible burn-in (though not likely)
The benefit of buying at Costco is the extended warranty. But I would still go with a LCD over plasma. If you want to buy at Costco, you can get a Vizio 32" LCD for $530 (Item # 320010).

I thought costco was a 6 month warranty on electronics now?
I tried to do this online and pad my AAA discount, but the coupon will not work on this item as it is a "Red Hot Deal".

I don't have my book with me but there's 1 coupon in the Entertainment Book website (login required) that can be used at CircuitCity.com.

Just found out you cant get the coupon discount unless you get Firedog service also and you cannot use your AAA discount cause of the "READ HOT DEAL"
I purchased it online using discovercard (5% Cash Back) and then went into the store for pick up and applied the 10% off coupon without any problems. Requested them a lot to stack the 8% off AAA coupon too, but didn't agree. Later, realized that anyways AAA coupon wasn't valid for Vizio tv's. (Store location: Buffalo, NY)

So I tried using that coupon, and the guy had to get his manager and then his manager said that it doesn't apply to photocopy versions are not accepted when I handed him my printed version. Did anyone else encounter this? Is that their same policy on all their coupons?
I'm considering taking it in tomorrow and trying again... not sure what to do :\
EDIT: He also said that it's not valid with that Vizio 32" model.. can anyone confirm? I'm really frustrated right now >

Take the Printout of the coupon, and the page for the TV with the price, to a Sears store. Tell them $499.99 -$50.00(10%) = $449.99 and ask them to take another 10% off ($45.00). Sears wants your business and will reduce the price another 10% for your business. This should total $404.99 + Tax and forget about dealing with CC altogether. Has worked for me before at Sears stores.

Haha, will just asking for another 10% off out of nowhere be granted? Because that's what you're telling me to do right?
Well I'll try it tomorrow.. I actually have a friend who works at Sears, maybe I could -10% three times? + price match? That would be huge, haha.

Sears "price match plus" policy bottom line--they will give you the extra 10%
This is the last time I'm dealing with CC, first time I tried to buy my laptop there and it felt like I was at a car dealership. The service is terrible.
My 47in Vizio died after 13 months....... Not bashing Vizio, just giving my personal experience with their products.

You can also use the entertainment.com 10% back once a year offer and get merchandise card thru mail. Must go thru entertaiment.com website and follow link to CircuitCity.com, then complete and mail simple rebate form and they mail you the gift card. I've done in past and it works.

Dear brotherjoee, I tried the Sears thing but had no luck. Sears says that they would not match competitors coupon. So, effectively, they are ready for 499$ and as per 110% price match policy, they too will sell the TV at the same price as CC. Any ideas to get them to match the 10% off cpn of CC too?
Good idea, and was psyched (I just bought this TV this morning at CC Tax free but never stop looking for a better deal.
Upon reading the fine print, the Sears price match is, as are most, 10% of the difference in price. In this case $600-$500=$100*10% = about $10 off, not $45. Also the official policy states that they will not include coupons (quoted below).
"Sears will not price match competitors' bonus or free offers, special offers, rebates, financing offers, coupons, clearance or closeout prices, or prices on used, damaged, returned, open box or display merchandise, service contracts or automotive services, or installation, delivery, or assembly services."
I would say this is extremely YMMV, and if you have done it in the past, congrats, you got a sucker employee. I green you for effort, but feel it is a huge long shot to get the same deal. Going to be satisfied with my tax free Cali day purchase!

Still cheaper at Sears with a 10% difference in price if you can't get the coupon to work at CC.
As I wanted to get in on this deal I was fortunate enough to get a 10% off 50 dollar gift card from Circuit City in the mail today. I also am getting an addition 5% off discovercard and taxfree in delaware.... Thanks op

If I go through Discovercard site and choose in-store pickup to use the 10% coupon linked in op's post, will Circuit City have to redo payment in the store causing me to lose the 5% off from Discovercard? The 10% off coupon is only valid in-store.

P.S. You will most likely lose the 5% on the price adjustment amount.

Ah, so if the coupon is accepted in store and price is adjusted then Discovercard or FatCash is a no-go most of the time. bleh
