BTW, these work pretty well but don't last more than a year or two because the strainer breaks. But there isn't glass to break and the price is right. I really like how there is a double screen one on the press and one on the lid so you don't get coffee in your cup. My 8 cup model was 1.5 years old used daily and it broke today so I ordered this. I'll probably give the frother away.

The press makes great coffee, works great. I don't know anything about the frother. The press plunger screen will probably break before it is two years old. The rest seems to last a long time. The plunger rod is metal, the container is thick and sturdy. But the screen is held together by plastic and breaks after it gets hot too many times. Not sure if you can get replacement parts, I have my 8 cup model that broke yesterday, I figured for $13 and change, I'll just start over while I wait to find a source for replacement plunger screens.

I broke mine on the third try. there was a weak plastic peice there the metal attached. I only buy all metal french presses now.
