The math:
AA or AAA Lithium E² batteries at CVS are $9.99 each. Buy 2 for $19.98.
-$4.00 (2x$2.00) instant savings (weekly CVS special)
-$4.00 (2x$2.00) Manufacturer's peel-off coupons on select packs at CVS (YMMV)
- $2 ($1.00x2) Manufacturer's Coupon here (YMMV on stackable with peelies as they generally only take 1 man. coupon per item)
Limit Two on these, Click on "Answer to win" link and the $1.00 link should appear, but you may have to register to activate the link)
- $5 ECB WYB $15 worth of Energizer Batteries (AA/AAA 4-pack, C/D 2-pack or 9 volt)
- $5 MIR (from OP's post here)... Direct Link
------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL: FAR after ECB/MIR ($4.00 if no peelies, $2.00 if peelies but manu. coupons dont stack)

Edit: These are not the rechargable kind of batteries. Those are $12.49 each, see my post below for details on a separate deal.

The optical mouse just died. Hot deal - thanks for the info!

Any workaround for getting two $5 rebates (one for each package)? Limit one per address, so using two addresses is an obvious requirement, but rebate asks for original cash register receipt. Separate purchases voids $5 ECB on $15 purchase. Ideas?

If nothing else, separate purchase would give a rebate instead of ECB for those who don't shop at CVS often.

The CVS deals keep your totals saved on your CVS card, so you can purchase these on two separate receipts and submit multiple rebates to make 5 bucks - wish I had thought of that!! Guess I jumped too fast.

Forgot to mention. I had no problem applying both peel-off and printable coupons. I lumped them in with some other coupons I had with the $5 ECB off $10 candy sale.

That reply is kind of cryptic - The only requirement for the $5 ECB is that you purchase a total of at least $15 worth of batteries (before coupons) at anytime during the week. These can be on separate purchases (so you can try and get multiple $5 rebates), and the total amount you have bought and the total amount you need for the ECB will print on every one of your CVS receipts while the offer is still valid.

I didn't find any $4.00 (2x$2.00) Manufacturer's peel-off coupons on select packs at my local store

AA or AAA Lithium E² batteries at my local CVS are $12.49 each. Buy 2 for $24.98.

Just did this deal. CVS register wouldn't allow me to stack the extra $1 coupons, but I did ring separately for the extra $5 rebate. Can confirm that the $5 ECB still printed, so it's obviously using a cumulative purchase to qualify. So, without stacking coupons but getting two rebates I made $3. Sweet! Thanks OP!

Are you sure you weren't looking at the rechargable E²'s? Those are 12.49. The Lithium (non-rechargable) are 9.99 in my store and also online here.

As for the peel-offs, those are the big YMMV, since they were scattered throughout the 4 different Energizer displays in my store (had to dig a few rows deep to find them). You can still get 2 packs for $4.00 without those coupons, which is about 80% off. Sorry for your luck.

Why are these so expensive? For about the same price, I can get rechargables. Anyone know the reason behind this huge price hike for these?

Don't forget about the free tote bag when you buy 3 packs.

Good catch - but you have to have the original UPC's for the tote bag, so you need to choose between the $5 rebate and that bag unless you buy 4 packs.

Just received letter of rebate denial. Supposedly, I did not submit an original rebate form (copies not accepted). Anyone have any updates?
