Saw the Fry's deal, but was upset it was B&M only (I don't have a Fry's in my area). After a little hunt I found this:

Linksys-Cisco WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router (Compatible with Linux)
List Price: $94.60
Price: $49.99 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping.
You Save: $44.61 (47%)

Unfortunately, you'll also notice: "Usually ships within 3 to 6 weeks."
Update: Appears to be in stock (and shipping?)

May still be a warm deal for some.

By the way, you may have to look to the right under "More Buying Choices" to see the deal (I had to).

Great router, and a decent price.

Probably worth the wait if you've been looking.

Yes, you can use it as a wireless bridge with 3rd party firmware. I am not sure about the stock firmware.

On this model, I seriously doubt it, this is like a "Geek" Fan Request situation

Yes, you can use it as a wireless bridge with 3rd party firmware. I am not sure about the stock firmware.

The stock firmware doesn't do bridging (stupid huh? Linksys wants you to buy their 1 antenna, 1 port bridge for ~$70 , when you can throw DD-wrt or some other 3rd party firmware on this and turn it into a 2 antenna, 5 port bridge for ~$50-70)

I've bought a few of these over the years for $55-$60 at Newegg (I have three of them myself, and have thrown dd-wrt or tomato on GLs for other people.)

/$50 is still $10 cheaper than I've seen them for sale from a legit institution (I have three of these things).

/Also note that these are WRT54GLs, which have more ram than the WRT54Gs that you'll most likely find in a B&M store.

I got one of these for $40 AR, but even so this is a good deal. Picking up a 2nd one, so I can set up site-to-site VPN. Thanks OP

Just ordered this from Amazon. Added this http://www.Amazon.com/gp/product/B000EW3YRK for $1.54 to get it above $50 in Electronics, signed up for "Bill me later" for a $10 discount, came to $41.53 shipped.

I ordered one and got this faster then orders that were suppose to ship out quick. Dont worry about the 3-6 week weight.

So what site should I use to upload some firmware? Can you tell me some advantages of using something besides the Linksys stock firmware. I use some p2p uTorrent etc, and my DLink 624 hates that. Thanks for helping out the newby.

dd-wrt(DOT)com/demo gives you a lot of information.
The great thing about these (as opposed to the G) other than the extra RAM as someone already mentioned is the easiness of flashing. Flash mini then standard. Wait the time it takes to update the firmware before going on to the next step.
The G's and GS's have been discontinued and linksys has launched their UFO looking G2s and GS2s. They have internal antennas and I don't like the new look...I hope these don't go away. i should get one before they do.

Found a deal for a refurb 150n for $44 at Buy.com. Very similar to the GL in specs except it does draft N (150Mbps). I bought one of these recertified and love it...

If you want to play around in the networking field and make VPNs or wireless bridges with multiple ports throughout your home/small business, this is a great buy.

That wireless-n refurb is still available at Buy.com if anyone's interested. Link

If you can find some cheap CA software (as I have described in my post in the current TrendNet g-router thread here), you can get a $25 MIR on this router. The rebate link is on the product page.

Is the WRT150N refurb a better router than the WRT54GL?

What? People are buying at this price? I sold a couple of these on eBay for $30 shipped. dd-wrt preinstalled.
