BEWARE of this deal. I signed up last week and my CC was authorized for ~$4.00, but was never billed. Yesterday my CC was authorized for $11.40. I contacted NY Times today and was told that I did not qualify for the $4 for 4 weeks promo and was charged the regular rate for new customers. They just delivered the paper, set up an account for me and never contacted me re: the billing issue. Needless to say I cancelled the subscription. I'll likely have to dispute the charge since they indicated that a third-party service handles internet subscriptions.
