Hey everyone, I know there have been some threads floating around concerning T-Mobile Corporate Discounts (Starbucks, Avon, etc.), but I found a discount that is available to ANYONE for free. You can call in to do this or fill out a Migrations form online.
Go to Freelancersunion.org Click on "Discounts" Go down to "Life" and click on "T-Mobile" Click on "More information" Create an account and go from there.
Easy, painless, and no "icky" feeling from lying about employment or anything like that.
Some notes:
1.) This is available to both new and EXISTING customers. 2.) This does NOT affect your contract/commitment other than to change your billing date to the 6th of the month, I believe. 3.) Do not just call in and ask a rep about this; apparently some of the CSRs do not know about this discount. Go through the steps online, first (creating a Freelancers account - You will get a member number). 4.) This is a 10% discount for all "reoccurring monthly charges" so it should include your base (i.e., $40) payment plus any add-ons, like text messaging plans. 5.) The discount takes 1-2 months to show up on your account. 6.) You also get some other perks, like free 2-day shipping. Check T-Mo's online store in the clearance section for good deals (which shipping would normally kill).
I hope this helps some people. Feel free to post your results. Have a great day!

Who cares.. Did you care to post it here as soon as you saw this there?

When I'm filling migration form it asks me about 5 phone numbers (bottom of the form) and want me to choose voice/data plans. I'm on grandfathered plan (Family 600 minutes for $49.99) and I do not want to migrate to existing plans. They are more expensive and I'm fine with 600 minutes.
How do I take advantage of this 10% off and KEEP my old $49.99 plan ?

The instructions said you do not have to chose a new plan. I would leave the new plan info blank and see what happens.
While my voice plan is still offered I am also on the $10 family message plan. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will transfer over at that price. Will see. Probably a crap shoot.

Sorry, should have been more clear. I AM cccheel over on the other site. (I know it seems shady, but I PROMISE that I am cccheel).

Also, I believe that my current plan is a promo plan that isn't offered anymore ($39.99 for 1000 minutes, UL nights/weekends) and I was still able to do this. Just for reference.

Who cares, what a waste of a post. Find some deals and contribute to FW rather than crapping.

How did you verify that your old plan stayed on? The confirmation page stated that it takes 1 to 2 billing cycles.

I called and spoke to customer service and had them verify that this, in no way, affected my plan and/or my commitment./comtract.

My company also offers the same thing, with one catch. By migrating to the corporate program, you no longer own the number. Meaning if I left the company, I would lose my number to the company. Is that the case here?
Nevermind.. called T-Mobile and cleared that up. I do still own the number and discount will terminate is I am no longer with the company. Got the discount via my own company. Still thanks OP nontheless.

I'm not really sure. I mean, Freelancersunion is not really a "company" per se, but more of a membership group.

Once you make an account, on the freelancersunion website there is a link to a T-Mobile Migration form that you fill out and submit.

Go through the steps outlined above and it should be fairly self-explanatory. This is not like some other Corporate Discounts, in which you just call up and give them a code. You need to become a member and then follow the links off of the FLU website. It will take you to a Migrations form. Fill it out and submit it, and you should receive an e-mail. 1-2 billing cycles later, the discount should show up. This process may be expedited if you call, but that's not what I did, so I cannot really speak to it. If you do call, though, you need to have already gone through the steps of joining FLU and receive a membership number. Hope this helps.

MikeDaddy: what if I'm already on a Corporate plan? Is this substituting for that plan, or in addition to it? My corporate plan is better than 10% so unless I can "stack" this I'll have to pass. TIA, and very nice find.

I am not sure, but my guess is that you cannot get two corporate discounts. I would call T-Mo and ask someone there. If you do call, please post your results.
