Seems like a pretty good deal. Note: This is a refurb unit.
No Text to Speach (TTS) for those that were wondering.
I believe that 530 is hackable for TTS.

Do you have a link to how to do that? If so this is a sweet deal.
hmmm... "In the Box" section doesn't say traffic receiver is included.
You can also monitor traffic tie-ups with the addition of an optional FM TMC traffic receiver. By adding traffic services and a receiver to your c530, you are notified of accidents, road construction, and weather-related traffic delays
Also, its not clear if traffic report subscription is required even if a receiver is included.

If this is like a new c550, it'll come with 3 months of traffic service for free, after which you have to pay an annual subscription fee. I believe the fee is $60...
Any suggestion on updating c330 with c530 of this deal. c330 is running on newer maps via SD card and I want base maps to be updated than having two maps. I can un-check the base but for now going with both.
The C550 includes a traffic receiver, C530 does not. So unless this is a special offer with the traffic cable being added, I question it.
here is the hack to add TTS to the c530

what are the drawbacks in this unit ?
I can see that it is bulky .. apart from that ..

I agree. The title is the only place it says traffic is in included. In the description it says "You can also monitor traffic tie-ups with the addition of an optional FM TMC traffic receiver" and the traffic receiver is not listed under "in the box". The C550 has street name pronunciation, BlueTooth, and the included traffic receiver. This 530 DOES have the better display (compared to the C3?? series) and the SiRF GPS receiver.

After reading about the TTS hack (I just googled C530 TTS hack and the link posted above was the 4th result), it seems several things can go wrong when doing the hack. Also if you update to the newest firmware, the hack is disabled and can't be redone (unless you downgrade). Does anyone know how likely the problems listed in the guide are likely to happen?

I dont think it bricks your GPS .. you will have to find a way to recovery if something went wrong .. correct ?
or did not not read correctly (it has been known to happen
)
$99.99 + $5.99 shipping = $105.98
If you want TTS, the Froobi $129.95 + S/H deal for C550 is worth checking.

I have the C340 which is the same size, no it will not fit it your shirt pocket, but I wouldn't call it bulky. You can hold it with one hand and it weights a few pounds. If you were thinking about buying this, it's size shouldn't be a concern.
